I wanted a sundress, so I made one.  It's a shirred top and a circle skirt.  I bought the fabric ages ago just because I loved it, and had it waiting for the perfect project.  I'll have to take a pic sometime of the dress without the cello in the way, but This is one of the few pics I have of the dress so far (all with cello in the way of the dress)

Here's my first attempt at shirring.  I was surprized at how easy it was.  The thing that took the most time was threading my new (well, new to me) machine that my dad bought me at an auction.  Now that I;ve figured it all out, I love it!  Much better than my 1970s model singer. (sorry for the pic quality, hard to take a good pic of yourself)

One drunken night about 2 months ago, the country of Liquorgua was created, and the national cockass was appointed.  Being the MILF of family and community serviece, I felt it my duty to promote our fine country.  Here's the shirt I made. 

Basically a tube top with straps added, and an iron on transfer.

So here's my first ATCs.  I went to a local gallery last night, and they were doing an ATC night.  It's going to be a monthly event.  I can't wait to get into this.  Yet another craft :].

I've been wanting to make some fun long full skirts to play cello in.  I had a great pair of cords, but they were too long, and had huge zippers at the bottom, so hemming wasn't an option.  Add some camo fabric triangles, and a long pleated strip at the bottom, and you have a funky new skirt.

I received my jeans to skirt pack from leeska last week.  Some day surgery got in the way of me posting pics.  It is awesome.  I got 4 different sets of instructions, some awesome fabric to go with the jeans (I have many pairs in need of recon, so asked not to bother trying to find a pair that would fit me), a seem ripper, some strong thread, some extra needles, some tulle, and even a bonus kit to make a pop tab belt to go with my awesome new skirts.  I have been spoiled.  It finally arrived after some mishap with UPS over duty charges.

Well I'm proud of it, but it's far from perfect.  The neck doesn't look as wonky in person as it does in the photo.  I didn't have a pattern, I took a little info from a tut here, a little there, so it's really a mish mash of a bunch of things.

 I'm not sure if this is clothing or jewelry, but since I sewed it, I put it here  .  I had some small peices of fabric leftover from purses, so I made some hairbands.  They're comfy, and I like them.  One is plain, the other I embroidered a girly skull on. Sorry about the pics of me, but it's hard to take a good picture of your own head.  Here they are :









***As requested, here's the tut!***

You will need fabric scraps, 1" or 3/4" elastic, in the color of your choosing, I like black.  Embelishements of your choice, I use embroidery floss, but you could embellish to your heart's content. And your hand dandy sewing machine (or a needle and thread should you choose to do it all by hand)

Here goes:

MAke a template that looks like this, a few inches shorter than you want the full hairband:


Trace on fabric twice and cut 2 pieces.  Put the pieces righ sides together, then sew along the curved edge only:


Then hem the short sides.  After you have that done is't time to embellish (that way you hide the ugly back if you don't have mad embroidery skills or a fancy machine that can do it) I draw a design on then trace it in backstitch:


Once it is all embellished, turn the straight sides under, ahdn pin like crazy :
 

then sew along the straight edge, leaving the ends of the tube open.  Cut desired length of elastic plus some, insert in one end of the open tube, sew it up (I'm a little paranoid, so I back over it a few times for added security) Repeat with the other end of the tube and elastic, the voila! You have a handy dandy prettified hairband.

I just got a sewing machine and I'm having fun with it.  This is my frist purse and wallet.  I lined the purse, not sure if I did it right, but I'll learn  The bag goes around my hips because I hate carrying things.  It has a Velcro closure because I'm not brave enough to try a zipper yet.  My Husband has already claimed the wallet because the duct tape one I made him over a year ago is just about toast.  So here are my creations (no pattern, just sort of winged it)

I cut apart some t-shirts (an ACDC shirt, and one of hubby's old work t-shirts from his last job)and this is what I got!  I'm still really new to the sewing thing.  This was my second project.  I added straps after I tood the pic.  One purple and one black.  I wore it out to a show, and it was a big hit.
