1  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Some of my favorite photos - Image heavy! on: March 09, 2009 05:33:24 PM
I really like the different textures in the picture with the cartridge, and there are so many meanings a person can take from it.  My husband is a police officer and trains people, so I have developed something of a fondness for that sort of thing.

Also, I really like the picture with the door; I like the salmon color of the wall.  It makes me want to see the door up close to study the detail.

I like the black and white with the statue.  I think it's the composition I like the best.  And the shadows/shading.  Maybe you could mess around with the colour, and colour in parts of it.

I like the third to last flower picture.  The colours are so sharp and they seem surreal, almost.  It's neat how there are only three colours in it, too.

Those are so cute and hilarious!  I like how it looks like they all have bouffant hairdos.

I think it would be neat to arrange them in a series, somehow.
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: clutch recycled out of an old jacket on: January 05, 2009 01:29:13 PM
That's so cute!  I think I need to go find an old wool jacket, now...

I love the colour combination, and the shape, and the snap.   Grin

5  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: First-ever cathedral quilt project...tablerunner (Pic Heavy) on: January 04, 2009 09:40:04 PM
That is incredible!  That would make a wonderful art piece, forget the table runner!  Wink  The white of the border pieces make the flowered fabric really jump out of it.  They  look like little pieces of candy, or maybe jewels.  Beautiful job!

Goes to research how to make a cathedral quilt

8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: knitting bag [photo chub] x-posted on: December 31, 2008 10:41:34 PM
That little closing pocket on the inside is genius!  I don't like the ones where you feed the yarn through and then there's no way to get it out without cutting it.  The fact that it feeds it through the top is great, because she'd be able to stand and knit, too.  I never thought I'd have to stand and knit until I voted this year.   Roll Eyes  I really like your colour combination, and cord is a great fabric for a knitting bag.

I've been plotting my own perfect knitting bag for years (I swear Sad) and the button pocket will be a great addition to it.

That is an excellent idea!!  I know people who would love those.  It would be a great idea to use the papers from beer cartons and things as well.
