Here is a sweater of my own design that I was commissioned to make by a friend. It was a joint effort that arose out of a conversation we had one night about ways that I could exploit the lowest common denominator to sell my knit designs. ie: knitting sweaters with pot leafs or Canadian flags or mud flap girls or "Budweiser" emblazoned on them.
My dear friend called me the next day with the realization that "Hey, I actually want that Mudflap girl sweater!"
So I drew up a few designs for her and she chose her favourite and away I went, or away i knit I suppose. This is the result in all its epic glory....

I started with a basic topdown raglan and added all the fancy stuff. The yarn is all reclaimed from thrift store sweaters, except the collar and belt which is White Buffalo yarn that I also found at the thrift store for a dollar. The whole thing cost about 12 dollars to make!
