11  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Squid launcher-- OH YEAH! on: October 30, 2011 01:10:23 PM
Thanks! I tried to get glasses but he's got such a tiny head! And he wouldn't even let me try a pair on him, much less wear them an entire evening. I can get the face paint on somewhat straight, if I bribe him with a lollipop to sit still.
12  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Squid launcher-- OH YEAH! on: October 29, 2011 10:00:42 PM
"You ever seen one of these? No you haven't. I invented it."

My 2yo is always doing Vector's little "oh yeah" and the dance, so I decided to make him a Vector costume for Halloween.

Believe it or not, the pants and jacket each used to be a pair of youth 2XL swim trunks Smiley The launcher is a toy ball shooter painted white, inside a Method antibacterial wipes container and I made the squid too! I was all over town looking for a squid toy and finally just made it myself and I'm super happy with how it turned out.

Aahhhh what a cute bat! They're all cute, but I like the bat best!

GASP! A plant that I can't kill! I'm SO making a TON of these!

Do you get the pattern? i dont  :[
They look decently easy to do freeform. Make each piece then sew together how you like them.

If this were facebook, I'd *like* it Smiley
Totally wisted for my boys.
17  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Bomberman's on: July 06, 2011 04:29:15 PM
Good to know, Bomberman rocks!

The pattern will be online soon.

Looking forward to it.
Ditto! I'd love to surprise my DH with one, Bomberman is one of his favorite games!

Super cool! I love them. I have a few pieces of lino sitting in my supply drawer but I'm scared to use them. It's just so much more intimidating than the cute pink rubber block for some reason!

Eek, very cool! My kids and I go to our local indoor playground and the owners are so nice. When you go in they stamp your hand to show you've paid and so you can come back later that day if you want, and I've been wanting to design a few stamps for them as a gift.
20  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects / Re: Hippos and her diaper logo for my friend on: July 06, 2011 07:28:05 AM
Thanks! It was fun to make those, and pretty easy, except for all the little eyes and the nostril on the bottom one.
You can find her on facebook under Fluffy Butt Club Diapers. Not sure if she is updating her actual site. She took a break when her little guy was born a preemie with health problems, but he is a year old now and doing well! She just revamped her pattern and is moving forward again. Tell her heydooney sent you!
What kind of diapers are you planning on using? When I first started I loved pockets, but now my favorite are fitteds.
