After perusing the craigstlist free section for a while I came upon a post offering up a bunch of plastic erlenmeyer flasks.  The craftster in me couldn't resist and after pondering the subject for a few hours, I made this sucka.



Ingredients:
1 plastic erlenmeyer flask with screw on top
2 pipette tips
1 plastic spoon
birdseed
hot glue
string

If you're like me you're only going to look at the pictures anyway, so I'll make this brief.
I was antsy.  I went on craigslist and got a carfull of old/broken/useless computer parts and harvested their circuit boards CREATINGGGGG....





Everything on the dinosaur came from the inside of a computer with the exception of the micropipette tips that my lab was throwing out.

I'm working in the woods for the summer and there's dead wood lying around everywhere (i mean... it's the woods...so...)

I was walking by a lumber cell and saw this chunk of wood and got crafting.  Thank god for free time at work.



The mirror looks like trash in the picture but that's because it's still got sawdust all over it and the picture just took funny.



I'm thinking about filling in the gaps with smaller twigs but i couldn't get them to saw straight using the camp saw I'm borrowing from one of the guys i work with.  Perhaps when i get some kind of cutter i will.

I love 3 day weekends


Earrings: I used the beads, and silver thread, 3 strings for each bead so it wouldnt go breakin' on me





Then i decided to do some halloween preparation

I think its okay for all year?


Now i think i can really only wear this during late october unless i wanted to be creepy

Oh, yeah and a little nuked CD cant hurt, right?  Smashing that microwaved CD was horribly gratifying- I highly recommend it.  Wear safety goggles.

I was going off to college and needed something to hold stuff in to economize on the small bit of room i had to work with.
I had seen people make record bowls before, so i figured i'd give this a shot. 
I found 3 different sized records with all blue centers and made 3 bowls, then strung them together with ribbon of the same blue, and my BFFL, Gorilla Glue.
It holds my earrings like a champ.

I know the image quality sucks, but im working with just the camera attached to my mac, so... ya know.

My friend Chrissy and I were having a deep discussion about what i should do with regards to a boy.
In the process, she typed a nugget of wisdom, possibly, saying "Emotion is no damn reason to abandon logic". I liked it so much i made a shirt.

So there's this boy in my gym class...
and i'm a little bit in love with him.

He's really shy and weird and artsy looking and we've gotten pretty friendly, but i know if i don't do something i'm never going to keep in touch with him...
so...
I'm going to just say "hey, mike, give me your wrist" and tie one of these on there...

Well OKAY, today was, in fact, the day.  So off i went into gym class, ready for action, and you know who WASN'T ready for action?!
thats right, guys.  Gym class Mike.  Where was gym class mike?! LIKE I EVEN KNOW!!  Theory is he is sick.  A likely excuse.
Raincheck for next, and LAST gym class, Thursday?

NEXT EDIT:

Well, this isnt even good. He didnt show up for the rest of the week! That means i wont ever see him again, so the only way i can get to tie this thing on would involve tackling him and tying him down in the hallway if i see him and i cant imagine it would go over to well.

Hey!
Once upon a time there was a snow day and i had wayyy too much timr on my hands, so i decided to decorate a chair...






I only wish i could tell you how many eyes are on there.  It took my friends Steve Ellie and I HOURS to cut out all the eyes and hours more for me to glue them all on and then spray paint a clear coat on top.
