For borosilicate you need a really hot flame, the hotter the better. The boro glass does give you more time to work between heats, but it is still really important to keep it nice and hot so it doesn't crack. I would suggest getting your hands on the "contemporary lampworking" book set if you can. Some good websites to check out are www.lampworktutorials.com
