Guys!  I'm blown away by all the compliments!  It's nice to see my work appreciated.

LimeRiot - Yes, that is my furry child in the picture.  He was actually in the background of several other pics.  He is a constant shadow!

Impressive silhouette!  And to have such a willing participant!

I'm curious to know how you put all of this together!

lovesclutter,  Ursula is from Disney's Little Mermaid!  I forget sometimes that everyone who was *not* four years old when that movie came out may not know who Ursula is!

Jen, let me know if you do Ursula and want any help!  I don't really use patterns, but I could sketch out the dimensions I used.

Wow!  I love the silhouette, the attention to details with the stripes, the makeup and hair.... and especially the meat pie.  A nice touch.

Great start into the steampunk foray!  Steampunk is all about accessorizing, so add some details!  I add a few things to my steampunk costume every year.  The initial one I started with had a waist cincher and petticoat, and the quinticential painted nerf gun!  But I've added clockwork and octopus jewelry and other findings since then.  You may not want to do weapons since you're looking mighty classy. Smiley  But you can add some wicked headgear and handgear.  I like to use found objects from flea markets and things from the plumbing isle at Lowes!

I reeeeaaalllly like the vest and the way the top part fastens in the front!!

Holy Handgrenade, Batman!  I thought the sign was photoshopped until you posted the extra pic of the back.  Sweet!

You guys are awesome!  Thanks for the compliments.

Luna, I completely forgot to mention the suction cups.  They were a beast to attach!  You can tell there's a little wear and tear on them after the holiday, but otherwise they've done the job.

Surprisingly, I only had one incident with the suction cups.  If someone steps on a tentacle over tile flooring, the suckers are going to stick to the floor!  Good thing this is a study costume. Smiley
