I pick at my fingers (the skin around the nail...it's a nervous habit) so every little imperfection in my skin would catch on the thread.

i do that too. we are def psychic twins. i can only imagine the "arggg"s.

i received from silentblair yesterday! and squealed a lot.

she sent me the most glorious (is that an 8 incher?) hoop with my personal motto and favorite phrase, possibly ever. DFTBA, or don't forget to be awesome, was coined by john and hank green on their youtube channel vlogbrothers. as we all are aware, i am a nerdfighter in the blood, and this hoop is perfect for me!

see all that awesome white fill stitching? IT GLOWS IN THE DARK. I KNOW. she used my favorite color (glow in the dark counts) and my favorite saying and images of my two favorite people and THIS IS A RUN-ON SENTENCE NOW!

i'll post wall shots most likely this weekend, seeing as it's dark by the time i finish homework and they're next to a window and blah blah boring lighting stuff etc.

I'm going to start working on it properly (you know.. with thread) tomorrow or during the weekend, because I had to spend this evening setting up a tekkit server, which was new to me. Cheesy It's probably quite quick once you stop being overly paranoid. (technically it wasn't MY computer I was messing with, and gods know what I might break!)

whoawhoawhoa. do I detect another miner?

Has anyone else settled on a font and then started and then realised it is nowhere near as stand-out as you want it to be.  Undecided Went back to the drawing board and hoping I am happier with it this time!!

YES. fortunately i still haven't stitched it... i'm waiting for my idea to come and finishing the image first.

Is everyone doing just words or words and a pic?  I just can't decide!

I decided to go image + words as well for both hoops. I just felt like it was a bit bare without it as I hadn't planned the text to stand out well enough on it's own.

i'm doing that too. i just finished outlining my image! (whoop dee doo, said everyone in my house who thought i had made no progress.)
