Again this year at Chatham-Kent's Canada Day festivities, art in the park will be held. Festivities will include: art in the park, day-long live entertainment, cultural food vendors, parade and fireworks display. This year we aim to once again attract over 10000 unique visitors to this free day-long event.
We are looking for artisan vendors. The vendor permit costs 30$ and includes a designated grassy 12 x 12 foot area. Set-up begins at 10:00 am and must be completed by 11:30 am. The park opens for visitors at 12:00, and displays must be disassembled in the evening on July 1st.

I asked this same question on the photo page itself (on flickr), but I'm struggling with where to hem this jumper.
Please feel free to click on the image and add a note to it (on flickr) indicating where you would hem the dress. Or, add a note below. I'm befuddled by this and need your expertise and advice!
I want to start a group for Chatham-Kent, but i need THREE people from SW Ontario, and I only know of TWO. So the question is... who here is on RAVELRY!? Oh and what is your user name?
I have this beautifully soft variegated yarn. My mom bought it over 10 years ago to make something and never did. I have since been trying to make something with it (started about four projects) but nothing seems to fit. I just don't like variegated!
Can anyone identify what type of yarn this is? I'm going to post it on etsy and need some info! The labels were removed and discarded years ago...
I know it's a silly question because there are SO many things to do in Toronto... but my boyfriend and I are going to be staying a night in TO on December 2nd, and we are looking for some things to do.
I am a member of craftster so you pretty much know what i am about. He thinks that making things is boring though... he'sm ore into bars and skiing/extreme sports.
Does anyone have any suggestions - community events, places to visit, etc? Even if it may not be his cup of tea, I'm up for the suggestion!
I've been inspired by some felt ornaments that I've seen on Flickr. I've decided to give little mini kits out to people for Yuletide so they can make their OWN ornament, insted of me making it!
So what i'm going to do is pick up some felt, pre-cut it into round shapes and shapes for the trees or whatever i end up doing - maybe stars, who knows!; beads or sequins to decorate the tree, and embroidery floss. And a needle. I'll print out instructions for them too. Oh and stuffing.
Question is: am i forgetting anything, and how many ornaments should go into each kit? And what length of embroidery floss should I include?
In Spring of 07, another craft show will be held in my town (Chatham, Ontario). There were two indie-type booths at the show this fall, and my booth partner and I were thinking it'd be neat to have an INDIE AISLE of crafts, to offset all the granny things.
Would anyone be interested in this? Chatham is an hour's drive from Windsor, Sarnia, and London. Three hours from Toronto. 1.5 hours from Detroit. We have several motels in town and a few hotels to stay at for probably about 60$ a night.. je ne sais pas, as I haven't rented a hotel here before!
Our table was 120$ (including tax) for two 8 foot tables on the corner of the aisle. We had good visibility. The show will be in the Spring, so I hope I'm giving everyone enough time to think about it. If you have any questions, please let me know!!
Thank you! And all of those prices are in Canadian dollars!
