161  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Sock Sizing Help! on: May 17, 2005 07:27:25 PM
HI everyone! I have a problem!! I learned how to knit last year and now i want to make my boyfriend a pair of socks.  Socks are the only thing he said he'll wear if i make something for him so I wanted to surprise him.  The only problem is that hes a really big guy and wears a size 15 shoe.   Cry Now i know about the sasquash and the bigfoot patterns but are there any other patterns that are for feet that big?  I really want them to fit because of all the hard work i'm going to put into them but i don't want to measure his feet or anything so what i really need help with is demensions or what ever.  You know for how many stitches to cast on and whatnot.
Also if you can't help me with a nother pattern, do you know any relatively cheap yarn substitutions that i could use? I want the spend a lot on him but I'm jobless and i don't like begging. Embarrassed Oh and yeah he says he doesn't like wool because its scratchy but i donno about that.

Okay with all of that, i thing I've said everything i needed to say so please do you think you could help? Please?

Thanks
162  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / A piece of my art.. on: April 08, 2005 08:39:25 PM
Hello everybody!! I've been coming to craftser for quite a while now and i finally decided to become a member! Yay!! Grin I love this site! So many good ideas in one little place!  And since i suffer from lack of creativity (even though a lot of people have said I'm creative I DON"T BELIEVE THEM!!) it helps me very very much.  But since this post is supposed to be about art...

This is a picture that I drew and inked and scanned. Her name is Leala, partly because i have other drawing of her. I haven't really showed anyone my drawings and i haven't really finished a lot of them.  I been drawing for some time now but i *think* I've only started drawing human like people for about a year.  I don't really draw that much since i taught my self to knit but maybe I can get some inspiration? *hinthint* IF anybody's interested I've drawn more poses of her and even colored some too and some other people/things too.  BTW criticism is welcome.  I like it even. It helps me improve ya know.  I'll tell you one thing though, i don't draw clothes very well so maybe some tips? Don't get *too* technical though.

Bye!!
