2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: girly skull baby blanket... on: October 01, 2007 09:52:48 AM
This blanket is the coolest thing I have seen in a while.  I get how you downloaded it into micro revolt and made a chart although i haven't tried that yet.  How many stitches did you cast on? I would love to duplicate this with black white and red for my friend who's a tattoo artist.  Thanks for the info.  Jess ]

3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Best sites online, for ALL your knitting supplies? on: August 11, 2007 06:22:44 AM
If you like Noro than your best bet is to look for sales.  A friend of mine just scored 12 balls to make the Lady Eleanor in scarf style for $5.50 a ball.  You can't beat that with a stick.  She found on online sale in california by using google and poof affordable NORO.  Ebay has some great prices too if you are looking for smaller lots.
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: wwyd with 100pure wool on: August 11, 2007 06:19:28 AM
Great ideas!  Thanks for the your help.  I am leaning towards the felted bags even though i was originally thinking hat and scarf.  I love the ruff pattern in one skein wonder.
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / wwyd with 100pure wool on: August 10, 2007 05:13:26 AM
I have three skeins of 3ply purewool all have 218 yds.  The colorway is winter joy.  It has a brown, blue and a small amount of a rusty looking pink.

Is it enough to felt a bag or is the yarn to nice for that?  It's soft and not scratchy.   I bought it a while ago and it's seems a waste for it to just be sitting there unused.
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Is Patons SWS suitable for a baby blanket? on: August 10, 2007 04:51:59 AM
wow,  What an eye opener. I never considered the fire safety factor into making a baby blanket it makes total sense.

I am looking for experienced yarn buyres opinions.  I want to knit for MYSELF Ruff from One Skein Wonder using a worsted weight yarn.  I would like to buy a quality, soft and not so expensive yarn maybe about 10-15 dollars a skein.  What would you suggest.
