This is the Muppets Animal costume that I made for my fiance to wear this past weekend 10.29.2011.
I made his headpiece from paper mache. Then I attached it to a hard hat to make it easier to wear and more stable. I covered that with an orange spandex. I then made his large jaw & attached that to the dome or upper part of his face. I handmade all of his facial features with felt & fabric then attached them to his head. I sewed and stuffed all of individual teeth with felt so that they would be hard and stick out.
his mouth is covered with a black mesh, spandex type fabric so he would be able to see out through the mouth.
I then used 5 different shades of yarn for his "fur" I made small bundles and attached approx. 100 bundles of that to create his super hairy look!
his chain & shackles were all hand made as well. His clothing was recycled & refurbished to resemble that disheveled Animal look
