1  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Quilter from Knoxville, TN on: November 02, 2011 09:37:35 AM
I just joined the site a few days ago and I really like it!  I've been hand-quilting for 10 years.  Believe it or not, I got my first sewing machine just a few weeks ago, and now I have 2 sewing machines and an embroidery machine too!!  They're multiplying like cockroaches!

Quilting is my first love, and I have fewer projects now than ever!  I usually have a 1-year waiting list for quilting, but right now, it's 6 months.  I am hoping to find more business on this forum, too.  If you're interested in rates, PM me.  I also might start teaching hand-quilting too.

Anyway, I didn't mean to turn this into a commercial!  I wanted to branch away from hand-work a little and I've been having fun learning how to use my new toys!  I have a closet full of stash that I don't need too.  I've been making bags and iPod holders and things like that.  I am not very good with the machine, which is why I joined this forum (I am a member of quiltingboard and they recommended this one!).

So a great big "HOWDY" from Tennessee and I hope to make some new friends soon!
