11  Re: Bag Charm and Small Bag Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by autumnelayne on: August 08, 2005 10:56:06 AM
Bkrenning's bag was confirmed delivered Friday, so I'm gonna go ahead and post pics:
Here is the purse I made, It's a new design I've come up with that uses recycled tea boxes. As you can see the recognizable Celestial Seasonings Peppermint box front and back...

I made 2 bag charms for her, the first in 2 of her favorite colors, red and white. I found the cute kitten by the doll/dollhouse accessories at the craft store. The second I made out of more nuetral colored findings and beads that I thought could dress up any boring beige bag  Wink.

Hope she got them ok and likes everything  Undecided

12  Re: Wish Swap 2 Pics in The Swap Gallery by autumnelayne on: August 06, 2005 05:07:13 PM
Wow, that was quick! Cheesy
MmmK, here are pics:

Wish #1: "A purse made from recycled materials"
I have been working on this design for months and this is it's debue on Craftster. I liked the idea of juice pouch purses, but they are boxy and uncomfortable to carry. I've come up with a hybrid design that incorperates them with fabric! Will be selling them on Etsy soon:

Wish #2: "Something to do with mint."
My other latest technique is to reinforce and incorperate different kinds of packaging into items I make, so I made a coin purse from pretty metallic gum packaging and threw in some mint tins for good measure:

Wish #3: "A handful of collectable magnets and pins"
I made some polymer clay magnets, but wasn't feeling to inspired to make pins...made a bag charm instead (it's meant to hang off your purse strap  Wink). I was on a kick making them for the small bag and bag charm swap.

I'm glad you like everything Loriae!

13  Re: Hemp Necklace w/ Wooden/Ceramic Beads =) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by autumnelayne on: April 29, 2005 08:28:51 PM
Hey that is pretty phat! I sell my hemp jewelry at a little tanning salon in town. Wish I had some pics, but they are all up there for sale now, I will remember to post my next creation. Anyhoo, so far they are not selling as well as I had hoped. I've got a large assortment of super cute necklaces, bracelets, anklets, and keychains up there. I really thought that with all the "bohemian" clothing that's in right now they's be going like hotcakes, but so far it's a little slow, I've sold 5 items since late march. It's not very warm here yet either though so I'm still optimistic. My necklaces are between $18 and $22, bracelets and anklets $12-$14, and keychains $4-$6. I sold 150 beaded wire necklaces there last year..but not surprisingly just got sick of making those

Oh yeah, this is my little tag for the hemp stuff....Get it? LOL
