More crafting with burlap! My friend has a birthday on Wednesday and she's a HUGE St. Louis Rams football fan... This was made for her! Hope she likes it!!

2  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Sewing room wall art on: September 14, 2012 07:51:36 PM
Burlap, a sharpee, and a plain wooden plaque and I was in the mood to decoupage something. This is the result. Still wet when I took the photos. I think I like it...

3  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Two new skirts for my lil E'Clare. on: September 08, 2012 06:39:00 PM
Her name is Evelyn Clare so she's my lil E'Clare... mushy yes...I'm a mom, gimme a break! haha! I find when I'm stressed out I tend to sew more. My sewing machines are my way of "self medicating". LOL!  Creating something de-stresses me.

I also put together this little matching zippered pouch for her.

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / My new hipboho slingbag. on: September 02, 2012 03:13:46 PM
Made from two tie-dyed tee-shirts. Lining is same as outer material with pockets inside!  I love it!

6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Recycled Messenger Bag on: August 30, 2012 03:46:33 PM
My boyfriend (who owned a print shop) has a box of these messenger bags in the basement.

I needed a new messenger bag.... I used some Mizerak cloth adhesive (made for billiard tables) and glued down the material then sewed around it to make it look better.

I think it turned out pretty well.
7  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Doll bed, bedding, new pj's and two new outfits in one weekend! on: August 26, 2012 01:34:52 PM
Whew.

My daughter just got her first AG doll for her birthday. So of course she "needed" a bed, clothing and EVERY thing else that this momma can't afford. I barely saved and skimped enough to buy the doll !

So here's what I came up with on my own. The doll bed itself was a very old and broken doll crib that I cut up, glued, screwed and nailed back together and painted. The actual bedding was actually a crib set... bumper made a great mattress, while the sheets and crib skirt was just sized down for the doll bed. The blanket was the matching curtains from the old nursery. Pillows from the leftovers! I was so tired afterwards and it actually looked soooo comfy I needed a nap! lol! BUT, no... my little one needed some pj's for her dolly... so I took a pair of old leggings of hers and made some. THAT was my Friday...

Saturday, well, she again "needed" clothes. So back to my daughters stash of no longer wanted or worn clothing pile for material. I love how the little dress turned out. And an old pair of jeans too small and some ribbon made a cute little capri's and strap top for her new doll.

Sunday, I'm resting. Until the girl child "needs" something else.....
