I finally get a table to set up my sewing machine on, and I sit down, to get started on a simple purse project...but first i need to ajust the tension of my machine, fine, fine, no big there. I finally get it to make a nice smooth stitch, after an hour of the thread sticking, breaking, and whatnot. So, like any sane person, i pin together the first peices of my purse, and get started. I get all the way to pin #2 and my needle hits it, bending my poor little needle into a beautiful Z shape...i want to scream. I want to sew, but everytime i get near my machine, I spend hours trying to get it to work, and once it's working, I break something....i'm cursed, i swear....maybe i should learn how to knit instead...

I've been working on food for my wedding in my free time (the stuff that i can freeze, anyway) today's project: thumbprint cookies, this is half of them (i didn't have time to finish them before work...) they're raspberry and blueberry, these ones are topped with white chocolate, instead of icing, the other half is getting dark chocolate, i used new unused hair dye bottles from sally beauty supply to put the chocolate on them....and yes, my table is a mess right now...

I haven't gotten around to printing these quite yet, which i need to do, soon. But my fiance and I are both serious geeks, and I used a freeware version of Dante's Card Creator to make them. Based on cards for the game Magic the Gathering, all other information will be included in the envolope, and everything will be held together with a piece of ribbon fastened with a faux wax seal. I'll post more when I get my feces collected.

I'm planning a fantasy/medieval/geek wedding for the end of the summer (my boy's in the air force, and is finishing basic this week, so we should be able to figure out an exact date soon) and i'm outsourcing my dress to a friend of my brother's who's a costume designer, but to make things easier on the short notice my dress design is rather undecorated, and to dress it up I was going to make a medival style girdle, which is more or less an ornate belly chain, to wear over the dress. (here's an example http://www.renstore.com/Itemdesc.asp?CartId={D6B761F1-B09E-40D8-94D9-98CA8EVEREST3E4A2EB}&ic=OCD1002&eq=OCD1002%2D2&Tp=) but, with all of my bead resorces, I'm having some trouble finding decent silver celtic style beads for it.  Any suggestions?

I have streched ears, and though I don't regret it at all, sometimes I really miss haveing pretty dangly girly ear rings, but I cannot think of a good way to combine the two, the best idea I have is make some dangles on jump rings, add them to a captive ring and put them through an eyelet plug. My other idea, though not dangly is make a pretty design out of fimo and put it in eyelets so it's not in direct contact with my skin. Does anyone else have any other ideas?

I just started making glass beads, and felt like showing off. Technically a finished project until I figure out what exactly i'm going to make them into.
