...and as promised, the photos and details. sorry for the not-so-great picture quality.  i'm apparently having issues with my camera.

first, the treasure hoard  Grin

i LOVE these candle holders!   my aunt does, too (we're staying with her for a while, so she's enjoying all these decorations as much as i am  Cheesy)  the ghost is my favorite - i just love that expression. lol

GLITTER!!! heh lots of sparkly decorations, including purple and black garland, black glittery cutouts and a sparkly "Beware" sign.  Huh, that last one seems kinda familiar. Wink lol

awesome stickers

fun random halloween stuff - sparkly confetti, napkins, a magic towel and some rings Smiley

pumpkin ice tray! Cheesy  there's gotta be a way i can use it to make pumpkin pie flavored popsicles...

awesome hanging decoration, most adorable spider ever!

I LOVE THIS BAG!!! ha  the bats are just too adorable and i love the orange fabric.  honestly, i will probably use this year-round. Grin  it's too cute to put away until October!

the reverse of the bag Smiley

my favorite part (which of course means i can't get a decent picture of it to save my life! lol) the black feathers & googly eyes wreath!  it's already hanging on our front door.  i just wish we lived on a busier street, so more people would see it. Smiley

in addition, there was a package of pumpkin seeds and some Reese Cups - YUM! Cheesy
i was absolutely spoiled rotten with this swap!  thank you so much, southern flower Smiley

my brother's (may as well be "my") dog, Soupy, approves.  he wouldn't leave me alone while i was taking pictures, until i resigned to taking one of him.

I got my package from SuzannahAshley, and OMG I love it!

first up - two very awesome little paintings:

The Weeping Angels and the Adipose are my absolute favorite Doctor Who creatures, so these are especially awesome!

and accompanying the paintings... this freakin' adorable little guy:

and this surprisingly adorable Weeping Angel (Seriously, how can something so disturbing translate into such a creepy-cute ornament??  Cheesy):

all of those were stuffed in the box along with some awesome star-shaped beads (which came on a strand with some pretty TARDIS blue beads as well), starry confetti and some really pretty star stickers Smiley  perhaps you can sense the theme *hehe* I loooooove stars.  I can't wait to make some jewelry with these beads.

AND... I was so excited about the paintings, that while we were out running errands, I just had to hit up Hobby Lobby for some frames:

Thank you SOOOO much, SuzannahAshley... I was a little nervous about doing a swap, but I'm so glad I did!  And Thanks to everyone who's commented/complimented the star whale! ^_^ It was my first time making something like that, so I'm glad that he's getting some love!

5  Bridesmaid Necklace and Bracelet Set in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by watch_it_break on: June 09, 2011 09:04:00 PM
I've been wracking my brain, trying to decide which of my pieces to post first... so here we go! Smiley

This is a set I made, to wear in a friend's wedding.  We were each responsible for our jewelry, except for one piece that she purchased for each of us.  For me, she bought the earrings, so I took care of the necklace and bracelet.

Her colors were a sort of royal purple color, and pale green (pardon the photo quality... the bracelet photo is closer to true color):

And the bracelet I made to coordinate:

As you can probably tell, the necklace was quite a bit more complicated than the bracelet.  All told, I think it took me about 4 hours to string, just because it was kinda tedious.  Each of the large "beads" is actually a bunch of little beads put together to look like a single beaded bead.  The bracelet was a quickie project - maybe 15 minutes or so.  Smiley  The necklace is made up of Swarovski crystals, glass pinch beads, green adventurine, and 80 3-hole spacer bars.  The bracelet is just Swarovski crystals, glass beads, and silver plated spacers.

Here's links to a couple of action shots... don't mind my chubby neck. :p
