Hey everybody, It's been awhile since I've posted a FO, and I've been working on this one for awhile... finally tackled the crochet straps and found the right ribbon for the trimming!  Thank you so much smulan, for sending me the pattern from Stockholm! I owe you big time!

Hi, I have tried to make Knitty's Urban Rustic once, and failed miserably... I have seen questions here about the crochet cast on- I didn't have any trouble on that one, but I found that as I kept knitting the gloves, the first finger I knit connected akwardly to the rest of the fingers...
  I'm not sure how else to explain, except to say that I finished 75% of one glove, only to find that it twisted in a strange spiral- like fashion, and confused the daylights out of me 
  If anyone has some insight into what I did wrong, please let me know!

Pia (Rowan 35) was the first sweater I attempted (ok, tank top ) I am now wanting to knit a cross between knitty's Arisaig and SnB Lucky, but first I want to finish the Pia tank.  I am about 85% finished with this project, but I got stuck on the second side of the front decreases and also the last bit of the back decreases.  Does anyone have any ideas or advice for how I can finish it? 

I have asked employees at two different knitting shops and I'm still stuck... I have also tried multiple times to complete the front decreases, and I only end up frustrating myself.

Any Ideas??? Thanks inadvance guys!

I had a wedding to go to, and I wanted a classic, yet colorful dress.  Every RTW dress I liked was over $150...so i spend a little under $40 at joann fabrics and made this!  I Used Vogue 8158, one of their new skirt patterns for fall, and then with a little help from Burda, I drafted the bodice.

I know, not exactly cheap, but I used 100% wool, and had to buy enough to play around with, plus lining, hair canvas (interfacing), and the nifty leather button.

This summer I am trying to clean out my stash of yarns, and just wondered if anyone might like to take some of it of my hands...   I contemplated giving it all away, but i'd much rather give to people who can really use it

this one is a nice wool blend boucle that i carefully frogged a goodwill sweater for, so there is plenty of it!


Here are some old acrylics in tan, turquoise and red, along with some purple red heart soft

Odds and ends of acrylics and most of a skein of turquoise lamb's pride worsted

Finally, LOTS of acrylic in christmas colors!

OK, so I might be avoiding homework, but I just had to make it...

I was inspired by a Vogue pattern for evening bags, but I designed the pattern myself.  The outside is a lavender knit with a pale aqua lace overlay.  The lining is a cutesy aqua print from Joann. 
   Please let me know what you think, as I am very tempted to make more, but would like some opinions/comments/suggestions first!
