1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / How about a craft for my pet swap? on: January 25, 2014 04:40:59 AM
I know this has been done before. I am wondering if anyone would be interested? I haven't ever organized, but I may be willing to look into it and give it ago. If there are other rounds, and whoever organized them wants to do it. That would be fine too. I don't want to step on any toes. Smiley I love making things for pets and my spoiled little buggers love getting things so I thought it would be fun.
2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / What stocking stuffers are you crafting this year? on: October 06, 2013 05:05:37 PM
I like to fill stockings every year for not only my kids, but my husband, Mom, brother, his girlfriend, brother in law, and sometimes a few others. I have the kids stocking stuffers usually figured out. It's the adults I have trouble with. What do you craft for stocking stuffers? Or what ideas do you have? Men seem to be the hardest.
3  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Teen Swap? on: June 13, 2013 04:13:18 AM
My 14 year old daughter is dying to get involved in another swap. I'm trying to keep her occupied this Summer, but she is already getting bored! She would love to craft for another teen and maybe get a penpal? Just a thought Smiley
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Can this be knitted instead of crocheted? on: September 20, 2012 03:51:04 AM
My Step Mom made some beards with hats for my girls. I can't crochet but I can knit. I would LOVE to make some as gifts for Christmas. I know I can make the hat, but can something like the beard in this link be knitted?
5  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Stocking and stuffers? on: August 03, 2012 05:50:15 PM
This may have been done before, but I was thinking a swap for a stocking stuffed with goodies (some crafted, maybe some not) would be a neat swap. I think a stocking with some neat "smalls" would be really cool. Maybe even choose a number of partners or something. I'd love for my daughters to get stockings. They would love that.
6  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Summer vacation swap on: April 01, 2012 05:58:29 AM
Okay, I sure am full of new swap ideas to not be able to organize yet, but I wanted to share one more idea Smiley
What about a swap for things people could use on their vacation this Summer? Each person could tell what kind of vacation they were taking, where they were going, and some things they would be doing and their partner could craft things they could use. Just a few ideas I had were things to do on the way, games, things to keep kids busy. If they were spending time on the beach maybe beach bag or sand toy bag. Maybe a sunndress for a little girl to help beat the heat (and be extra cute), or a big brim hat to give shade to Mom. Ideas are endless. We camp a lot and I can think of tons of things to make for that; outdoor games, fishing stuff, bike baskets, crafts to do while there. What does everyone think?
7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Geocaching swap on: April 01, 2012 05:45:51 AM
OMG! I just thought of this. Why have I never thought of it before? I don't know how many people out there geocache or if there would be enough for a swap, but I think it would be fun. My family and I love geocaching, and we have made some of the small things to trade in the containers. I think a swap would be fun. It could be for small trade items to carry while caching, or things to just carry around. Maybe a geocaching bag or pencil and extras holder or gps case, water bottle carrier, anything!
8  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Bunny Doll on: April 01, 2012 05:31:31 AM
I made this bunny doll for a swap. Basically just a simple doll drawn out with ears added. She's not perfect, and nothing fancy, but I really like her. I am working on one now for my daughter Smiley

9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Easter / Bunny Basket on: April 01, 2012 05:26:31 AM
I made this little bunny basket for the Spring/Easter swap. I just used a tutorial for the basket and added ears and a face. I think it turned out pretty good.
10  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Toy Swap? on: March 29, 2012 05:40:16 PM
I just finished a swap where I made some various toys and games. I kept getting more and more ideas after I sent it off. I know that I love making these things and my daughter LOVED getting them. I think it would be neat to do a toy swap. It could be a large toy, or several small, simple toys. Stuffies, games, craft things, anything kids would enjoy. I haven't done enough swaps to organize but if someone was interested, I would be ready to do this any time Smiley
