11  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: My Valentines Day wreath on: January 19, 2015 01:40:56 PM
Thanks everyone! You can't see it in the photos but one of my favorite things is where I just touched the edges of the filters, after dying them pink, with red paint before separating them. It's a tiny thin red on the edge of most of the filters. It isn't so much that it stands out, but gives it just enough detail.
12  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: How crazy an idea is a year round holiday tree? on: January 19, 2015 05:26:40 AM
That sounds fun! I am trying to make a wreath for every holiday, but I  don't have them all yet.  My plans are Valentines, St. Patricks, Easter, Spring, Summer, 4th of July, then back to Summer, back to school, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Winter.
13  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Saint Patrick's Day swap? on: January 18, 2015 05:28:32 AM
I've never organized, but I will read up on it and see if I think I can pull it off, unless someone else wants to? Cheesy
14  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: My Valentines Day wreath on: January 17, 2015 11:36:18 AM
How did you attach them?  I imagine hot glue would melt the styrofoam.

Well I did use hot glue on some, and I used pins on some. Pins were much easier, but I knew I didn't have enough to do the whole wreath. I just did a  few with glue, a few with pins. It didn't melt the foam at all but it's the thick foam sold at home improvement stores. It's not the "beaded" styrofoam. That particular foam is sold in 4' x 8' sheets and makes great tombstones. Cheesy
15  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / My Valentines Day wreath on: January 17, 2015 08:47:12 AM
I had been seeing some coffee filter wreaths on pinterest so I decided to make a Valenties one. I had some styrofoam left over from my Halloween tombstones so I got my husband to cut me out a heart. I dyed the filters with paint and water, then let them dry. The next day I covered the wreath form with them and waaa laaa! I am very happy with it, especially since I spent $1 on a pack of filters at the Dollar Tree, and that was it. It's pretty big too, which I like.

I claim Frosty772 for some homemade soaps.

This is my first claim in this round.

One claimed, none sent, none received.

My name is Melody and I live in SC with my husband and our two daughters.
I don't have any allergies, but I'm not fond of the smell of smoke. Most of my list are just ideas and don't have to be exact matches.

Sewn:
Pug doll. Something like these: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/85286986669040858/ http://www.pinterest.com/pin/85286986669040885/ http://www.pinterest.com/pin/85286986669040863/

Fairy house of some sort..just ideas: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/85286986668190951/ http://www.pinterest.com/pin/85286986667545405/

Love these little felt wallets. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/85286986666801571/ Something for a girl.

Bible cover or case: Can be zippered, or not. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/85286986668415304/

Napkins for my table. Brown, turquoise, dark orange.

Bunny to give my daughter for easter http://www.pinterest.com/pin/85286986665188937/ http://www.pinterest.com/pin/85286986669221974/ http://www.pinterest.com/pin/85286986669221974/

Sewn carrots for Easter decor. I was thinking of putting them in a basket with a bunny or something along those lines.

Prayer flags. I am loving these but don't have any yet. Ideas for various ones I would like: Family, health, motivation, faith, forgiveness, courage.

Dog collar(s) and/or leash. Any cute colors or patterns for girl dogs. If you want to do this, I can get measurements.

Crochet or knit?

Bunny of some sort for Easter for my daughter.

Would really really love a gaitor for my husband. It's basically a tube that goes around his neck to keep it warm. Would need to be lined or double knit maybe to be extra warm. Neutral colors.

Stocking hat for hubby in Carolina Panthers colors. Lined with fleece maybe or double knit so it's warm.

Knit sweater for French bulldog. Martha stewart has a free pattern. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/151433606190246412/

Crochet or knitted cat or kitten.

Other:

I am redecorating my kitchen and dining room. I would love anything for those rooms. Wall art, candle holders, placemats, napkins, napkin rings, vases, flowers or anything for centerpiece. I love these colors http://www.pinterest.com/pin/85286986669337039/ http://www.pinterest.com/pin/85286986669337056/

Wooden tall candleholders. Any of these or something like these in a dark wood or black. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/85286986669327523/ http://www.pinterest.com/pin/85286986668758493/  http://www.pinterest.com/pin/85286986667289697/

Jute placemats (4) http://www.pinterest.com/pin/85286986669327520/

These decorative balls..not this color and don't have to be exact. I just would like some to put in bowls, etc. I like cream, brown, turquoise, dark oranges, rust. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/85286986669327528/

Love this sign. It could be on anything(canvas, wood, styrofoam painted to look like wood) , but I don't want the white. More wood or something more natural. My dining room is warm colors so the white would stand out too much. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/85286986669315998/

Chanel wall art: My daughter's room is black, white, and dark pink. She likes these: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/85286986668131341/ http://www.pinterest.com/pin/85286986668296531/ http://www.pinterest.com/pin/85286986668296529/

Dream catcher. I tend to like the more natural colors.

Any kind of pottery. Mugs, bowls, anything! I like this style. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/85286986666761848/

Men's leather wallet. Something pretty simple bifold or trifold. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/85286986666769160/

18  Craft Swaps / ACTIVE SWAPS WHERE SIGN-UP PERIOD HAS CLOSED / Re: Fill a "Coffee" Mug Swap (SU closed, SO by 1/31/15) on: January 15, 2015 08:11:58 AM
I am going to finish one of my projects for this swap today, maybe two. I have some things that I plan to start this weekend. That would be easier if my 15 year old would stop coming up with things for me to do.

They are adorable! I'm still in Christmas mode so one of the first things I thought was "ohh these would be cute with a little snow as an ornament on the tree".
