Plaidpineapple, the marble maze is basically a marble sewn between 2 pieces of fabric. I saw it on mom2em's pintrest and had never heard of anything like it before. I think it's a really neat idea. I made it fairly simple because her daughter is young. It could be made even more simple for even younger kids or more complicated for older ones. I am including another picture of it. I just painted the start and end "x" on it.
My daughter received a really fun package from Mom2em. There was homemade playdoh (how fun is that) with lamitated sheets that go with it for making things from the playdoh like a face for the woman or carrots in the garden. I'm not good at explaining, but it's fantastic and my daughter LOVES them. She made stuffies, bean bags, scavenger hunt game, matching times game, adorable bunny hair bow, hello kitty chalk board, soaps, easter cards with string to weave around it, stickers, hamster eraser, gosh, it was a lot of stuff. Thank you so much! My daughter loves everything.
My daughter received the greatest package today from Ohiodiygirl! She loves horses and skelanimals soooooo she was very happy to see a painting of a horse skelanimal for her room...awesome! She is also crazy about Jack Skellington and got a crocheted Jack and some awesome earrings. Not only that, but a really cute necklace and some Angry Birds ribbon. She's already bugging me to make her a hairbow. Thank you so much Ohiodiygirl. You are VERY talented!
I did a personal swap with Madhatteh. We were both doing the stuffed envelope swap and wanted to do more so we did a personal stuffed envelope swap. She sent 3 YES 3 little purses. One for me and one for each of my daughters. She picked perfect fabric and attached buttons that were totally awesome. My 12 year old took her button off the purse this morning and put it on her jacket before she went to school. Great job Madhatteh and thank you!
My package from Lukenlarry was full of fun stuff. An owl stuffie for me to stuff. She sent the pattern too, so I can make more A printable fabric sheet, an awesome recipe for microwave cakes that my 12 year old will be making tonight with her friends at a sleepover, some cute owl fabric, adorable miniature bottles, tiny ribbons (already have used a couple for a project), a flower necklace (that my daughter has already taken), and lots of other wonderful things. I'm afraid all of it is not in the picture. I'm not sure because my kids were taking off with everything as soon as it arrived. Thanks for the envie Lukenlarry! I loved everything
Hi everyone! I decided to teach myself to knit. I got a book at the library this week and practiced a little. I am wondering why it looks so bad. Especially around the edges, it just looks well..here is a picture. What am I doing wrong?
I haven't heard from one of my partners and I sent out almost 2 weeks ago. I hope that she is okay. I thought it would be okay to send pictures. I'm sure she has received.
I sent her some stickers, some googley eyes, buttons, a few cut outs of moon, clouds, sun, some various paper, stationary, a pocket cross made in the Great Smoky mountains, some paper mache beads I made, and I *tried* to dye a little bag with watercolors. It was supposed to be rainbow but didn't really turn out as great as I had hoped (which is usually the case).
I received some wonderful things from Lylacfey today! I don't know the names for everything because I have never done paper crafts (but I will be looking into it now). She sent the cutest felt horses, horse fabric, awesome seahorse and butterfly thingys that she made (don't know what they are called, but they are beautiful), hello kitty ribbon, hello kitty shrinky dink paper, tiny little cut out horses and owls, some really neat cut out design paper(again..don't know the name for it), cool dinosaurs, littlest pet shop stickers that my 4 year old has taken from me, and a spider web bling sticker that I immediately put on my phone. This swap was so fun, and she sent an envie full of great stuff. Now I am a little worried about the one I sent.
