I received a box from Kartiana today:)

She sent me three beautiful snowflakes made out of puzzle pieces with sparkly glitter paint on them. I hope this next pic shows the sparkle...

and she also sent me a fall colored wreath made out of puzzle pieces with coordinating yarn bow...

all are hanging on our cross tree that we leave up all year and decorate seasonally when I remember lol  but the puzzle ornaments and wreath look awesome on it!

You can see them all on it if you look carefully

Thanks so much for them Kartiana! Awesome crafting Smiley

oh im glad the package arrived so fast!

I made the wrist pin cushion with 2 layers of the black fabric, hopefully less of a chance of a pin poking thru into your arm! The box bag was fun to make, I found a local source (in the city I work) for low low price bulk zippers and am gonna go to town making them in different sizes, when I can find the time lol.
The mug rug's quilting was just totally random turns and lines, I will try to see if I have here is a pic that shows the quilting closer up.

I'm glad you like them all Smiley It was fun crafting them for you!

I just made one, as a sample to try, not to scale. (finished size of this sample bag is 7-1/2" x 12") I had some scraps whispering my name and i said ok, i'll patch work ya!

the horizontal seam is my french seam, but I should have done a skinny hem first, and when I turned it inside out (last seaming) should have been wider. I ended up ripping it out and doing a 5/8" seam to encase the first seaming. ** Go read Leslie's blog about the scant 1/4" seam and generous 1/4" seam. You will understand why my first attempt at the french seam gave my bag a raggy look (tho it might be nice for some projects)

you can see the raw edge on the right side cuz i didn't make that last seam wide enough.

redone, looks much better Smiley

my scrappy skinny morsbag. And now I know how to make french seams Smiley

Here are the lovely things that Eszter made me!

these birds have tiny seed beeds on them and a tiny ring at the top of their heads for hanging Smiley

This is a super repurposed bluejeans bracelet. It has copper colored thread and sequins and its just awesome! you have to share how you made it, i have sooooo many jeans here that need to become bracelets.

Here is a pic of all the goodies, the leaf pin is just sweet too,  bit of denim on there. And she sent me a post card of budapest.

Thanks sooo much Eszter!

Here is what Ive done with the jelly roll of fabric:

and here is the first of two 9x13 size pan hot pads from the fat quarters:

I have to put the binding on, and only have a light denim and light grey and just ordered black, oyster and berry color binding (I get the 100 yard rolls from this link http://jhittlesewing.com/visitor/index_jhs.html)
altho the light grey might look nice.

Thanks again for the awesome fabrics! Hubby really likes the quilt top I made so now I gotta find a backing for it.

Grandson Logan was suprised when we opened it, I had hubby hold it for me.

And since hubby is tall, he got to hang it on the empty ceiling hook in front of my yarn wall.

Here is a different view of the mobile---I loves it!! Thanks muchooooo!

9  Re: Mug Rug Rd5 Swap - SO April 29th in The Swap Gallery by rscowtown on: April 16, 2013 05:59:57 PM
I received my mug rug yesterday!!

whoohooo! Laura embroidered my idea for my next tattoo and added french knots for the dandilion seed ends. The stem is green and the rest in yellow. She backed it with the lovely star fabric. I only had a waterbottle handy for a shot of the mug rug in use, and its a lovey rug!

Thanks so much Laura Smiley I think I have my idea all set for yours, might grab the scissors tonight and start cutting!

10  Re: Prayer Flag Swap Rd 3--GALLERY! in The Swap Gallery by rscowtown on: March 30, 2013 09:12:00 AM

here is the finished flag. i crocheted the stem and leaves, then added some green thread to accent. The al things grow with love is from my fabric stash. the back is muslin but i also added a piece of the same as the front (which was from a jelly roll) to cover the stitching and I made a tube of the fabric to run either a dowel or piece of ribbon thru for hanging.

I had fun making it and look forward to trying more flags in the future  Grin
