I just made one, as a sample to try, not to scale. (finished size of this sample bag is 7-1/2" x 12") I had some scraps whispering my name and i said ok, i'll patch work ya!

the horizontal seam is my french seam, but I should have done a skinny hem first, and when I turned it inside out (last seaming) should have been wider. I ended up ripping it out and doing a 5/8" seam to encase the first seaming. ** Go read
Leslie's blog about the scant 1/4" seam and generous 1/4" seam. You will understand why my first attempt at the french seam gave my bag a raggy look (tho it might be nice for some projects)

you can see the raw edge on the right side cuz i didn't make that last seam wide enough.

redone, looks much better

my scrappy skinny morsbag. And now I know how to make french seams
