Throw it out...its not worth the risk.

The breadcrumbs and the egg should hold them together ok. Have you tried chilling them for an hour or so before frying? Also leave them frying on one side for a long time (longer than you think!) before turning them as that can break up the mixture.

Not sure if anything has been posted about this but just looked in the new FACT cinema guide and there is a Knitflicks event on.

Its on 15th September at 3.30pm and the film is Atonement (based on Ian McEwan book starring Keira Knightly and the lovely James McAvoy, its a 15 rating). Apparantly theres free tea and coffee in the bar afterwards too.
