1  Re: Hand-Carved Stamp Swap--Round 4 GALLERY! in The Swap Gallery by sheeshakaye on: July 24, 2012 07:58:26 PM
A very belated thank you to chibilightangel for the great stamps I got last week! I wasn't able to get it posted before I left for vacation last week, but here they are, a lovely celtic knot, and saloon doors to go with all my other wonderful cowgirl inspired stamps... Did you guys conspire on this?  Cheesy There was also a very nicely scented soap in the package which my mother has already stolen, she loves it!

I got some stamps this weekend!

From Wulf, I got the prettiest cowgirl. I love her!

and from elyxandra, a set of awesome cowgirl-inspired stamps. The paisley pony is awesome!

3  lacy camera strap in Crochet: Completed Projects by sheeshakaye on: May 28, 2012 09:03:36 PM
I've had my DSLR camera for several months now, and it's always frustrated me how short the neck strap was that came with it. Finally after months of putting off buying a new strap for it, I decided to make one... can't be that hard, right?

So here it is, my new and improved (and plenty long enough) camera strap.
(please disregard the dog hair on my couch... it's a constant battle which I am losing at the moment)

I used the Queen Anne's Lace scarf pattern with a much smaller hook than recommended for the yarn to make it a little smaller and sturdier, and two little clasps that I found in a bag of key chain rings. I would've liked to be able to show it actually attached to the camera, but I couldn't figure out how to take a picture of the camera, with the camera.

I'm so glad you liked everything, Ceda!

In my package, I got an awesome sparkly unicorn string art (already hanging in my bedroom)

and a cute plastic canvas key chain which my cat has been carrying around for a week... I had to steal it back to take the pic!

5  Re: Fiber Friday March 23, 2012 in Spinning: Completed Projects by sheeshakaye on: March 26, 2012 08:57:47 PM
I know it's not friday anymore, but i wanted to share what I've been working on this weekend.

This is the roving I traded with Rodelphia for, I spun roughly a third of it (1.5 oz, maybe) and ended up with this-

- roughly 100 yds of pretty pink, blue and purple yarn, I haven't decided if I want to ply it yet, I think it will depend on how the rest of it comes out.
