1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Gift ideas for a craftster?? on: December 02, 2008 06:58:36 PM

I need help from my fellow craftsters  Smiley

I'm looking for Christmas gift ideas for my crafty cousin.  Unfortunately I won't have time this year to make her a gift so I'm looking to buy something for $30 or less. She's in her 20s, likes knitting and home decorating (among other crafts), and is expecting her first baby next year.

Any suggestions??
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Tokyo decoupaged wall hanging on: February 19, 2008 02:23:23 PM

I cut a piece of plywood into a circle and then decoupaged a Tokyo Bay scene. I just need to figure out some way to finish the edges and hang it. I was thinking of using grosgrain ribbon and buttons to make a trim. But for now, it looks nice just resting on the bookshelf  Smiley

3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / kid's practice guitar decoupaged into cool decoration on: February 19, 2008 02:14:56 PM

After lurking for several months, this is my first project post...

My boyfriend is a musician and he bought this kid's practice guitar at a garage sale. His roommate and I used to have a craft club and and I made it as a surprise for him. I haven't put any clear coat on it yet because I'm really worried the paper will start bubbling like it has on previous decoupages I've made. I'll probably do some test pieces and then finish it off.

Check it out!

4  Illinois / Illinois: North / Jewelry making classes on: March 19, 2006 03:16:02 PM

Does anyone know a good place to take a jewelry making class?  I would be a total beginner.   Also, somewhere on the north side would be good Smiley
