1  Re: Fake Swapping Craft-along (ongoing) in Craftalongs by veghorsegirl on: February 08, 2012 07:59:17 AM
Firstly, everyone's stuff is looking awesome! And I "recieved" today for my winter hippie swap!
I'm really happy with how everything turned out Smiley
Group shot:

Bleach pened jeans (I was so happy to save these jeans, they're my favorite and I spilled toilet bowl cleaner on them while cleaning), a tree of life necklace and matching bracelet in autum colours (I'm thinking of doing one for each season, this was my first time doing wire work and I love it) and a bag to carry my shoes to the gym.
Close up of the jewerly:

And as extra's I made stitch markers out of old penguin earings, but they're currently lost in my knitting basket Wink
I tried to get an action shot but lighting/dirty mirrors would not cooperate  Roll Eyes
Can't wait to pick my next fake swap!

2  The Crittet Sitter Cake in Dessert by veghorsegirl on: January 20, 2012 10:09:08 AM
Recently I've had to spend a lot of time away from the house due to some unfortunate family stuff and one my most spectacular friends ended up looking after my animals 3 weekends in a row. So to thank her I decide to make a cake.
And on the semi-selfish side of things I get to enjoy baking while still sticking to my diet, turns out everyone wins Smiley
Anyhow, I got a little carried away from my original simple design and ended up with this:

And yes, my cat is actually that fat. Wink

3  Re: The Beekeeper's Quilt Knitalong in Knitalongs by veghorsegirl on: January 02, 2012 08:47:56 PM
I'm at about 11 so far and loving the pattern. They're such a fun little project.
I took a couple and sewed them together into a little flower, I've almost got enough for a second flower.

4  Tiki cake in Dessert by veghorsegirl on: December 09, 2011 05:59:35 PM
A recent cake for a cousins birthday. I was pretty pleased with it and with the massive amount of chocolatey goodness Smiley And it's vegan too!

5  A Cake for Baby Erica in Dessert by veghorsegirl on: November 01, 2011 09:21:59 AM
My cousin (who loves monkeys) recently had a baby and I thought 'What a perfect excuse for a cake!'
This was my first time playing with fondant and I love it!

And a few monkey close ups:

I had so much fun with this cake and love how it turned out Smiley

6  Halloween Apron in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by veghorsegirl on: October 24, 2011 09:14:37 PM
I made this apron to show off and awesome t-shirt print I found that unfortunately didn't work well as a shirt due to see throughy-ness. I'm thinking of working it into a halloween costume, maybe 'House Wife of Frankenstine' Wink

Sorry for the sideways picture.
Let me know what you think Smiley
