3  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Re: Can anyone recomend any air dry type clays?? on: January 12, 2007 12:55:13 PM
Cold porcelain clay is the sort of clay they use in Mexico very often, if you've ever been there; the food magnets and other things are made of it (and they normally mix it up themselves) and it looks exactly as if it was made with polymer clay. It's very cheap to make -- and it is actually very easy, I've done it myself. If I can find it, I'll give you my recipe for it.

What sort of coffee filters should I use? the only ones we get are the ones already in a conical shape, not the flat ones. ):

I love this, it's so great! Is it handbound? I assume you printed the pages yourself. So cute.

I don't mean to be terribly nosy, but I love it so much! It's such a great idea! ♥♥
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: skull mittens (with tutorial) on: December 25, 2006 10:11:01 PM
Did you ever figure this out? I want to make a plain pair also but this row 47 thing  seems confusing to me too. It doesn't specifically say to decrease so how does it get smaller? Any help would be great. Thanks.

I'm having a hard time knowing when I hit the 47th row.  I wasn't keeping count as I knit.  Will the pattern get smaller if I'm not decreasing?  Is there an easier way to figure this out?

I can't help you with your problem, but I can say that it DOES say to decrease -- that's what k2tog is!

Isn't this a pattern from a japanese patternbook? I'm confused  Huh

10  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: sc, not chain foundation row?!?! rant and question on: November 20, 2006 12:16:41 PM
I don't know about you, but if I were you, I'd TELL that lady how I learned how to do that same stitch for FREE.

Don't go back there if they don't treat you right, unless it is to let her know just this and to also let her know you'll make sure all your crocheting and maybe even knitting friends too to avoid the place. She'll lose a lot of business that way!
