Cold porcelain clay is the sort of clay they use in Mexico very often, if you've ever been there; the food magnets and other things are made of it (and they normally mix it up themselves) and it looks exactly as if it was made with polymer clay. It's very cheap to make -- and it is actually very easy, I've done it myself. If I can find it, I'll give you my recipe for it.
Did you ever figure this out? I want to make a plain pair also but this row 47 thing seems confusing to me too. It doesn't specifically say to decrease so how does it get smaller? Any help would be great. Thanks.
I don't know about you, but if I were you, I'd TELL that lady how I learned how to do that same stitch for FREE.
Don't go back there if they don't treat you right, unless it is to let her know just this and to also let her know you'll make sure all your crocheting and maybe even knitting friends too to avoid the place. She'll lose a lot of business that way!
