21  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: Little Boxers on: February 15, 2010 07:08:10 PM
I got the Rocket Ship fabric at JoAnn's. I don't know the brand because the selvage edge cuts off before it says who made it. I looked on JoAnn's website, I think it is the "Novelty Cotton - Spaceships" but they don't have a picture so I can't say for sure. Good luck in your space ship search!

My nephew's 4th birthday is comming up, and he told me wants boxer shorts for his birthday.(My sister made him a couple pair and he really likes them!) So, using the Simplicity pattern 9958, I made him a few new pairs of cute little boxer shorts.

I made these for some friends as Christmas gifts and thought they were too cute not to share! Goomba, King Boo, and Bullet Bill. Enjoy!

24  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Leela Wig w/ Brainslug (so so pic heavy) on: November 06, 2008 07:12:49 PM
Wow, great job! I considered being Leela for halloween but couldn't figure out how I would have pulled off the one eye thing. Maybe I'll be her next year!
25  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: "College Survival Kit" for friend graduating high school...ideas? on: May 12, 2008 03:53:30 PM
I recieved a gift like that before I started college, some more ideas you could do are:
-Map of the campus
-Coffee Mug
-Snack foods (like gummy bears, granola bars, trail mix, etc)
-Pens (I went through pens like crazy this year, you can never have too many!)
-If living in a dorm, maybe some easy microwave recipes
-Planner/Calendar
-Playing Cards/Board Games
-Picture of the two of you together

Also, as far as putting it together, I got mine in a big rubbermaid storage bin, which has been useful for moving in, storage, and moving out.
26  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Guitar Picks on: March 09, 2008 08:28:22 AM
Those are awesome, what did you use to cut them so neatly? Those would be a perfect birthday present to make my fiance!
27  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Super Stash-buster Blanket on: March 09, 2008 08:21:12 AM
Thanks for the comments everyone! and yes, it was all worsted weight, mostly Red Heart Supersaver with a few other random ones thrown in there.
28  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Super Stash-buster Blanket on: March 08, 2008 02:50:05 PM
I started this in September, and I finally got around to finishing it up today. It's all yarn from my stash, single crochet with an N hook. I just grabbed whatever color I thought would look good next and made the stripes pretty random. It's roughly twin-bed sized, I'm not sure what the exact measurements are though.

On the bed (it looks too short, but it's an extra long twin bed, so it really is long enough to cover me)

Another angle on the bed:

On the (slightly messy) floor:

And an in-progress pic just for fun from september when I started!

It looks very nice, especially for a first project! And I'd love to know where you found that rugby fabric, it's so cute!
