I designed this for my boyfriend, he's very into rugby. I'm really happy with how it turned out, I'm definately going to miss screen printing class at school!

22  My First Shirts! (Mission Trip) in Screen Printing: Completed Projects by shock on: May 12, 2007 01:09:07 PM
I took a screen printing class at my high school and I just finished my first shirts. I made them for a mission trip I'm going on this summer to do home repairs. Out of the 36 I printed, only two didn't turn out, so I'm really excited about them.
(the silver color is much nicer in person)

I made these in my cultural anthropology class at school, and they're super comfy! They took a long time, but it was way worth it.

24  My pretty pink quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by shock on: September 26, 2006 07:42:34 PM
so, this is the first pieced quilt i've done. It's tied, and the backing is fleece. ( i don't think i'll do that again, it was killer to try to get the needle through the fleece when i was tying it!)

25  Frank-n-furter and a caterpillar - 2 new shirts in Stenciling: Completed Projects by shock on: July 11, 2006 07:47:43 PM
I got both of the stencils from stencilry. the caterpillar one is for my friend's birthday, i really like how it turned out.

I'm not quite as happy with frank-n-furter though. i'm not sure what it is, it just looks a little off. I do like the sparkley red lips though.

After i made one of these, I ended up looking for all kinds of fun bottles to cover. I haven't quite figured out what to do with them yet, but they're so addicting to make!

28  Simple Baby Quilts (now with tutorial!) in Quilting: Completed Projects by shock on: May 06, 2006 08:39:02 AM
I made these for a collection for newborns in need that my school was having. I don't know if they really count as "quilts" but they were my first real try at any kind of quilting type project. I don't know if i'll ever have the patience to make a real quilt though.  Wink

Edit: Here's a tutorialfor anyone interested.  Smiley

Materials:
1 yard backing fabric
1 yard front fabric
1 yard batting
Thread
Sewing machine

1. Lay out the batting, then the backing right side up on top of it. Then put the front on the backing right side down (so right sides of front and back will be together.)

2. Sew around all the edges leaving a 6-7 inch opening to turn. Turn the quilt right sides out.

3. Sew close to the edge all the way around the outside of the quilt. Make sure the opening gets closed when you do this. Next do 1 or 2 more borders of quilting equally spaced around the edges. (it's kind of hard to keep the fabric from bunching up here, lots of pinning helps  Wink)

Have fun! If you need anything explained better i'd be happy to try to help!

30  Cute Kennel Padding in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by shock on: January 11, 2006 05:50:13 PM
I made this for my boyfriend's dog, lillie. It's two pieces of flannel with a few layers of batting in between, it was really easy to make. It's perfect for her because it's thin enough to be in her kennel (where she likes to sleep) but still soft enough to make a nice bed.
