Absolutely love it. The only thing that makes me sad is the lack of Han Solo... 

For christmas, I wanted to make one of my good friends an altered board book (you know, the little ones they have for little kids so they don't ruin them?) with all sorts of pictures of gay guys, love and such. I need some help with pictures, though. They can be animated (anime, or sem. from comics or such are his favorite), real, whatever. Would prefer to keep most of the images clean since, i too am gay and don't exactly want to see two guys getting it on, and plus, he's not even seventeen yet. Anything....hrm...t astefully suggestive?...would work though. He doesn't like...slutty things. He loves things he can find beautiful.

Any help or suggestions would be GREATLY appriciated. help me make this boy happy for christmas!

Has anyone tried it? I have this huge half cork board/half white board thing...i want to paint the wood edge, which I know will work, but what about the cork? Has anyone tried? I'm sure it would work, but with my mother, she encourages my creativity but if I ruin something, all hell breaks loose....plus i love my cork/dry-erase board and would hate to mess it up somehow.

Backstory- I'm Annelise, I have a good friend named Autumn. I want to get/make her a really awesome present. I'm kinda stumped for ideas, becuase I really want her to love it. Not only because she is a good friend, but because I'm planning (planning is the key word here... ) to ask her out after/during christmas break. I want her to love it. However, she gets really shy whenever people ask her what she wants, and is like I'LL LOVE ANYTHING!!!!
As a joke, i'm going to trash up a barbie (cut it's hair short, color it, give it scars) and use a beenie baby to give it a fur coat and a hat. (the most god aweful thing I could think of...i told her i was going to do something bad when she said she'd love anything...)
Okay. So. She loves anime, Jpop, french pop (pretty much any pop/dance/ect music in another language. English if it's REALLY cool), likes to draw but thinks she sucks at it, some dolls, DDR, ect. And random, general girl stuff. She wears jewels next to her eyes, which sounds really tacky but it somehow looks cool on her. She did mention me making a cd of music i like....but my computer doesn't have a cd burner. 
What should I do? It's not long until christmas, and I've got to do something quick. Any suggestions?

Thank you for the good suggestions, I'm thinking about trying to make her a collage , and writing her a note. Or perhaps, making her a blank book. Also, if anyone has any more suggestions, I found out that her birthday was on the seventeenth, not the tenth. so i have another whole week. 

I'm a junior in High school, and have had my english/humanities/newspaper teacher Ms. Peeples every year since I started. It's her..thirty something birthday on thursday, and i'm trying to think of something to make her. She the subjects above, is a liberal, a free-thinker, has a great sense of humour, leads the Amnesty International in our school, and a nifty sense of style (she'll go wearing two layered tee-shirts, jeans and pigtails one day, then a fancy skirt, top, and high heels the next). She likes gifts that are creative, and is a big believer in 'it's the thought that counts'. (one year, a friend gave her a spoon and she loved it. Another year, she wrote "why i love my daddy" in crayons as a 28 year old and gave it to him.) She's the best teacher and my role model, so I wanted to make sure i give her something nifty. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

Well. I had these pants that are a little too large, and i wanted to recon them. All I had done was put the lace on the knee. Yesterday while watching TV, I doodled the little robot and the hearts up top. Then, today, since I caught the flu, I was bored out of my mind. And thus, the pants were born.



Here the ART? stencil, the HATE stencil, which are both original. The Willy Wonka one is not; I can't remember where I got it. The willy wonka one bled, and it was really annoying (don't use printer paper to stencil, kids!) The HATE one bled too, but it looks good, I think.

theres the whole thing. The writing on the bottom says "Body Facism. Celebrate all bodies. Stop the hate", has the corrent pronounciation of 'nuclear' (a knock on Bush), and at the bottom is says, "love is tender and knows no gender" but I'm not sure if you can see that.

I love all these jeans. It makes me happy knowing I'll be able to make mine prettyful now.

I think it's cool as is, but if you were set on doing something, you could either stencil or transfer one of their pictures (the art they draw) and put it down there.
