this one is called Attic Keepsakes. I had so much fun with this because you can put all kinds of "junk" in your attic. So here goes: attendance commendation- yellow ribbon, arrow, dolls, books, scroll, footlocker, seashell (which didn't make through the mail), letters, rollerskates, buttons, (fishing) reel and bobber, luggage, dressform, tatting (on dressform) and mirror. the mirror has a decoration on the side that I hadn't added until just before mailing.

hot damn! I just thought it was a cool card with lots of neat stuff on it. I didn't realize that every single picture on the card was a GGD word.

hello, my name is Jane, and I am unobservant

sorry about hte eyeball card falling apart. I guess I should have used something other than elmer's glue...

I had so much fun making that card. I opened my box of ATC supplies and there was this bag of googly eyes that I had stolen from work last year and i just KNEW i had to use them

The Japan envelopes are getting so much love. It was just some book I paid $1 for at goodwill. Its about 20 years old too!

so, would I be making 5 cards of my favorite movies to send to my friends...

or, would I be making a card for each of their 5 favorite movies?

what if I've never seen/heard of their favorite movie?
24  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Does this work -- making a T-shirt pattern on: January 27, 2007 10:20:23 PM
I've made "rub-offs" of several items of clothing. Essentially copying one item I already have to make a new, similar item.

I've got a bit of jersey fabric and want to make a t-shirt out of it. Do ya'll think I could copy a t-shirt I already have?

Has anyone tried this?

we get this one mailman in my store every now and then... he's got this sorta handbar/ fumanchu moustache that he accessorizes with little rubberbands, like the ones you used to put on your braces

he never says anything, just puts down the mail and leaves.

One day, one of my coworkers dared me to say "If I give you a quarter, can I have a moustache ride?" which I didn't do. And that's a good thing, because as it turns out it really IS a sex joke...

and it proves that I really AM clueless when it comes to sex jokes...

wow! great call on the marge simpson card... I can't believe no one else has thought of her, thus far of course.

here I am with my series of bad hair cards and I've just thought "Oh no! Sideshow bob! he has terrible hair!"

I love my ATC's!

we have "honey & her beehive" by kikigirl (i think it may be a sex joke... but I may be wrong... she mentioned something about off-color humor)

and If These Weaves Could Talk #1/5 by Millik

and my own beehive stick... which I thought was actually sticky for a moment there... like a window cling.

I'd post what I kept for myself, but 1) I don't want to blow everyone's surprise and 2) I haven't gotten around to making my own yet

but I'm ultra proud of mine, my best work ever!
28  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / recommend a shirt dress pattern on: January 21, 2007 08:02:23 PM
I want to make a really cute shirt dress, but I'm having trouble finding a suitable pattern.

The closest I've come is a threads pattern, but I think it may be too matronly.

have any of ya'll made a shirt dress? And, if so, what pattern did you use?

thanks for the help

oh jesus! I love the gary busey card... possibly because i hate gary busey so much

It's Nick Nolte, though.  Cheesy

I hate nick nolte just as much as I hate gary busey... they're the same in my book.

when I enrolled in college, I recieved a letter telling me about all the famous people that went to my university... nick nolte was one of them
