21  Re: Sock Monkey Photos in The Swap Gallery by MyrnaLoy on: August 03, 2005 04:40:12 PM
This is the card I got from Monkey Maker:

"Meet Gary. Gary isn't sure about his sexuality - but he is sure that he loves dressing up in pretty lady clothes!"

What's really funny, is I used to have a friend named Gary that we just called "Crazy gary"

So, gary the monkey is anatomically correct. From his little monkey nipples and hairy chest to what's under his frilly little white panties. Since this is a family board, and I want to protect gary's privates by not taking nekkid photos of him and post them on the internet, here's gary is is pretty pink dress. He's also wearing pretty blue eyeshadow and has a scar on his cheek... monkey knife fight? A Late night run-in in a darkend alley with someone who doesn't understand hs lifestyle? One thing is for sure, Gary isn't sayin'

photos of him in his party dress and high heels soon

22  Re: Embellished Lined Zipper Pouch Pix! in The Swap Gallery by MyrnaLoy on: July 29, 2005 05:23:56 PM
Here are pictures of what I sent to LRS:
Outside, with view off my balcony

I really like the lining. I found it my favorite fabric thrift store, it inspired me to put the bird on the front. I'm really proud of my work, and I'm really glad LRS likes it.

lookee what I got from Steph!

a huge pouch which will fit my mute, chin rest, strings, rosin and everything else I need for my fiddle lesson each week. AND a kick-ass brooch (prefect for the scarf I just finished) and a friendship bracelet ('cause a girl can never have too many friends!), and a card with a robot on it that says "Howdy Crafter"

I am sooo tickled and delighted over this package. Steph Rawks

(oh and that beatles/potter pouch is pretty damn cool too)

24  Re: `*Bag & Bracelet Swap*` Gallery in The Swap Gallery by MyrnaLoy on: July 11, 2005 06:29:46 PM
holy effin' crap. I returned home from the worst day at work EVER and found that my DH had gotten lots of beer and I had a present!

The bag, which I must say I've been in love with this fabric for years

the bracelets, which I usually don't wear on the left hand... but I'm right handed and needed to take a picture properly

needless to say, I feel like a slacker from my own mail-out AND! I'm totally in love with msrockchick for her level of awesomeness

and, I feel better about the world

25  SUCH a cute wallet in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by MyrnaLoy on: June 28, 2005 08:12:02 PM
about a week and a half ago my beloved paul frank wallet was taken from me. Somewhere between the blockbuster and the line at safeway, it disappeared. It was so pretty... it was yellow with little reel to reel machines on it

and to top it off, it had my ID in it. No ID = No Beer. I was a sad little crafter...

but now! NOW I have a new wallet. All made by me:

26  My Favorite Rawk Stah in Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller by MyrnaLoy on: May 01, 2005 05:00:22 AM
I"m a geek. I admit it freely.

My favorite musician is Scott McCaughey, the main guy in the Young Fresh Fellows and the Minus 5. He's better known as "the other guy," one of the thouring backup musicians for R.E.M. He's just cool. He always wears those sunglasses and sometimes he wears this gold Lame sport coat that his mom made out of a set of curtains.

So, here he is for reference:

and here his is in knit form:

and like his life sized version, the knit McOi likes to stagedive... off the sofa

27  I'm so proud! (my new shirt) in Needlework: Completed Projects by MyrnaLoy on: April 18, 2005 10:13:26 AM
Having recently discovered craftster (where have you been all my life??). I've been enormously inspired by some of the projects I've seen here. In Particular, I love the embroidered Elvis Costello shirt. I decided to take a go at it myself. Here is my interpretation of the cover of "Let The War Against Music Begin, vol. 1" by the Minus 5.

SInce not a lot of people have the record, here it is for reference:

and the shirt:

whaddya think?
