1  Re: Hairdo ATC Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by MyrnaLoy on: January 23, 2007 03:45:41 PM
I love my ATC's!

we have "honey & her beehive" by kikigirl (i think it may be a sex joke... but I may be wrong... she mentioned something about off-color humor)

and If These Weaves Could Talk #1/5 by Millik

and my own beehive stick... which I thought was actually sticky for a moment there... like a window cling.

I'd post what I kept for myself, but 1) I don't want to blow everyone's surprise and 2) I haven't gotten around to making my own yet

but I'm ultra proud of mine, my best work ever!

If you've got to put curtains on the window to your sewing room, you might as well make them ebroidered curtains:

a friend from ack in the day wanted me to make her a bag. She said she collects cherries... so this is what I came up with:

but I don't think she likes it... I think its darling

I made it by blowing up the cherry pattern from the tattoo your towels set to be about 4 inches high.

7  Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer. yum! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by MyrnaLoy on: September 11, 2006 07:40:04 PM
about two years ago I made a dear friend of mine a purse out of a box from Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer. It was okay, not the greatest purse ever, but functional.

Her boyfriend is about to go on tour in Japan and my friend wanted to bring a gift to the promoter of her boyfriend's shows. She wanted something that represented the Pacific Northwest (where we all live) but didn't want to do something typical.

Portland, Oregon is the second largest consumer of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer outside of Milwaukee. So the Japanese concert promoter is getting her very own (new and improved) Pabst Blue Ribbon purse.

Its made from a few boxes (three or four), some refrigerator tubing, some blue ribbon (get it?), blue fabric, some tape (masking and duct) and a crap-ton of hot glue.

Whaddya think?

8  Re: Tampon Swap Gallery!!!!! in The Swap Gallery by MyrnaLoy on: August 29, 2006 07:07:59 PM
here's mine! Poinky sent me two cases (which is good 'cause I sent her two)

the blue one is for my purse, the green one is for travel. The blue one folds in half, like a sunglasses case. The green one rolls up like a knitting needle case.

9  Re: Fabric Stash Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by MyrnaLoy on: August 22, 2006 06:45:02 PM
I recieved from retroeva today. I've entitiled this photo "Still Life 1: Fabric's eventual fate (with can of PBR)

So I got some felt. Some floaty shimmery stuff already cut into the shape of a shirt. Orange and blue broadcloth, Stripey orange, giraffes, Tie dye (husband says the cat needs the tie-dye... she can celebrate Jerry Garcia on every day but his birthday)... black upholserty-esque stuff (can we say aprons?), silky green embossed stuff, lots of blue varigated knit. and a little pink for grins. Teh purple in the bottom right corner was already mine.

we should all post a photo of something we've made with what we've recieved...
