1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Khepara Pendant on: December 08, 2012 05:47:18 PM
I've had this little lovely brewing in my brain for quite some time...

I fashioned this pendant with the legend of Khepara in mind. Khepara is the scarab beetle in Egyptian mythology that pushes the setting sun across the sky. Ancient Egyptians often placed scarab amulets over the hearts of thier mummified deceased, to be weighed against the feather of truth in the final judgement.

With this legend in mind, I set a beautiful natural Citrine crystal at the scarab's feet. I wear him just above my heart.
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Infinity Rings on: August 29, 2012 04:50:45 AM
I just finished a custom set for a girl that had her heart set on Tiffany's Infinity ring, however they aren't making it anymore. Here's my interpretation:

Along with the picture she sent me in thanks:

It makes me so happy that she really liked them!
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Wedding Rings on: August 29, 2012 04:49:05 AM
Hey all, here's a wedding set I just finished making

The groom's ring says his wife's name, Kari. The bride's ring has her husband's name, Derek.

What do you think?
4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Working on a Lathe on: March 04, 2012 08:07:47 AM
Here's a ring that me and my dad were both working on:

And then the finished version:

The one on the left isn't finished yet, that's how it looks coming out of the casting machine. The one on the right is completely done and polished!
5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Crystal Earrings on: March 04, 2012 08:06:16 AM
Another set of cuties that I made up... I couldn't decide which colour I wanted more so I just made them all!

I especially like the Olive, but the really bright blue ones look really good with my hair too.

This is a ring my sister wanted me to customize for her

I'm super excited about how it turned out, I just love the finish!

Here's another picture of it that I like:

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / My First Completed Pattern on: November 12, 2011 05:50:36 PM
Just finished publishing this pattern on Ravelry:

I designed them for my younger cousin, I figure they're cute enough for her to wear even though she's a teenager Smiley

What do you guys think?
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Wristwarmers on: November 07, 2011 06:10:24 AM
Hey all

Just finished these in Patons Classic Wool, the stitch definition is fantastic and I'm in love with the colours

Sorry about the quality of the picture, my partner really sucks at taking pictures
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / US 35 Knitting Needles on: October 28, 2011 06:14:23 AM
Hey all,

I was struggling recently with finding decent US 35s that weren't 8' long and plastic. My dad helped me churn out these:

I blogged pictures of us making them, but what do you think of the finished result?
10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Beaded Felt Bracelet on: October 23, 2011 04:13:39 PM
Hey all,

I finally figured out how to knit beads onto the bracelets I've been working on

And the felting makes it look pheonominal

I'm thinking of writing up a tutorial on knitting with beads, there were so many little things I wasn't warned about in the tutorials that I was able to find.

There's a picture of it in progress on my blog as well, but I really love how it ended up :p
