305  Calls for Swap Angels / Swap Angel Archive / One angel needed for the Crafts for Writers Swap! FOUND on: May 23, 2007 06:13:47 AM
Found! Thanks, Yuiha!

Despite repeated promises to send, psyche's partner has flaked out. psyche has been very patient, but it's time for an angel to fly in! Could it be YOU? psyche lives in Canada, and here's a some info that may help you decide:

What do you enjoy writing? Lots!  I write articles for my school paper (The Cord Weekly) and sometimes the school's alternative magazine (The Blueprint). But what I really enjoy is more "creative" writing: short stories (mine usually end up "strange") and poetry (all different sorts.). I also have an idea for a novel, if I can ever motivate myself enough to start AND finish.. ha

Who is your favourite author? Many! Marion Zimmer Bradley & Mercedes Lackey (their stuff set in more modern times); Laurell K Hamilton , Kelley Armstrong, & LJ Smith; JRR Tolkien & Guy Gavriel Kay; Phillippa Gregory & Judith Merkle Riley; and plenty o' classics (especially Jane Austen)

What is your favourite book? Well... mainly stuff by these authors  If you want me to be more specific, I can be..

What is your preferred writing medium? First/second drafts on paper/in journals, more than that usually get on the computer. (Unless they need lots more rewriting  )

What crafts can you do? I am an expert at making things into other things... I make whatever I can think of really. I do lip gloss, some types of jewelry, sewing, general papercrafts, stencilling, very basic knitting... etc...

What crafts do you admire? Lots of crafts! One thing that seems especially relevant is journal making... I have never made a book (Although I need pages with lines!), but I really have a huge admiration for any sort of crafted items!

Anything else you think your partner should know? (Feel free to ramble  )
Hm.. well first off, you can check out my swap info fancy website: http://jesstacular.spaces.live.com --> it's the most recent post in the "blog"  . I would also love to receive a "muse in a box" sort of thing with pictures, little items, fun prompts/ writing sort of "games", etc!

pm me if you would like to help! Thanks.  Smiley

307  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / Yer highness on: May 14, 2007 10:10:58 AM
These won't be included in the poll, but I just had to make me some queens. If I were royal, this is how I would use my power.  Cheesy

The left one reads, "Bring me a Cosmo," demanded the queen."
On the right, it says, "The queen was not amused."

I'm going to frame these for my crafty area, just to keep my family in line.
308  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / ATC lovers swap on: May 08, 2007 07:31:04 AM
How about a swap for atc lovers? Participants could send one atc that they think their partner would love, some supplies (stamps, stickers, images?), and perhaps a small album, box, or display item for atc's themselves.

What do you think?
