Ipo and I are in Arlington, wrapping up our trip for a conference about OERs (Open Educational Resources). Unfortunately, we didn't get to see much (we stayed in the same hotel as the conference and all the library panels were in the same meeting room, plus my shoulder is killing me so I'm not really up for sight-seeing) but Ipo had fun doing the typical hotel stuff:
The tiny toiletries aren't so tiny to Ipo!
We also picked up some swag from the conference's sponsor to take home with him.
Saturday is America Recycles Day, so our student activities people are in the library today with a table where you can take a recycling pledge, learn about our landfill, plus there's a photo booth and free pizza! Ipo got into the spirit by hopping into a miniature recycling bin:
Ipo is helping me at work today. We are putting up a book display for No-Shave November (for cancer awareness) and putting fake mustaches on books with faces on the covers. Ipo is working quality control and trying on the mustaches...
Anana will be leaving for Hawaii tomorrow, but in the meantime, IT'S HALLOWEEN! (He's been living at work so I haven't had a chance to make him a costume, but he'll pose with me as Ramona Flowers from Scott Pilgrim...)
