Very cool- and good tutorial. I've got a 'Naked Ladies' party (aka swap party) coming up- will be on the lookout for suitable shirts now!

You can get a lot of off-cuts and also bigger pieces at Bricklane Market. Not sure how prices compare though!

I think for fabrics you can't beat beat Walthamstow Market - on Saturday there is loads of stalls and a bunch of fabric stores off the market near the end furthest away from the tube. Cottons etc. starting at 75p/m. Saw some great wool material also for 1/m and a suedette for 3/m and fake fur for 2/m.

Have you tried one of the markets yet?

The market in Walthamstow is really good for fabric, there is also a good selection of fabrics in the fabric shop on Ridley Road market (Hackney) or I saw a few fabric shops in the vicinity of Brixton in the market area.

I think there is also an earlier discussion link with where to buy fabric. I see whether I can find it (edited- if you just search this board for 'fabric' that brings up a number of older threads on this topic).

pm me if you're interested in more details on any of the markets.
