Knitting: Discussion and Questions
Re: how do you let a muggle down nicely when they ask you to knit something?
on: July 17, 2012 12:23:11 AM
I blame Molly Weasley... 7 kids and the cheap and easy thing to do is to knit them all jumpers?! Come on JKR, I know she's got the use of magic but STILL!

This is incredible - taking crochet beyond craft and WAY into art territory. I've voted for you and I'll be genuinely surprised if you don't win hands down - he's incredible.
I also adored your peacock from a while back so I'll be very excited if a pattern finally comes together for that!
What can I say? You're inspirational!

Re: My First Sweater!
on: March 24, 2012 09:32:10 AM
Oh my goodness, I'm so envious of you and loving that sweater!
I've just taken up knitting from being a die-hard crochet gal and it's soo frustrating to be going back to the beginning with something (I'm doing a scarf and it seems to be taking forever)
I take very very much inspiration from the fact that you're a first year knitter so maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel!

Ahh so cute! I *love* this dress - is it more similar to the colour on the first picture or the others?
I'd definitely second making it into a purse - a clutch bag would be gorgeous with the little design motif!

Re: Hunger Games arena embroidery - possible spoiler warning!

Seeing the awesome-ness of this hoop has actually made me go out and buy the Hunger Games book. I figure anything that can inspire that has got to be worth a read!

Re: Vintage Star Wars Decoupage Shoes

I *love* these shoes! How weather proof are they? I'd love to make some but unless they could put up with the occasional damp then (given where I live) there's not much chance they'd last a week!
