1  Lacrosse Shirt Recon in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by MissJennuine on: October 15, 2005 02:58:04 PM
On a visit to a university this summer we stopped in on the bookstore, which was having a clearance sale.  I'd been looking for a lacrosse shirt and found one, even though it was a few sizes too big.  Nothing a little bit of crafty mauling couldn't fix, right?  Grin  So here's the finished product:

(Note: I don't have any before or during pics, but just imagine an XL t-shirt...  *snipsnipsnip* *sewsewsew*  Yay!)

Thanks for looking Cheesy  I hope you like!  Please tell me what the shoelaces make you think of...I was going for a kind of look...Tongue

2  My first self-sewn dress! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by MissJennuine on: July 05, 2005 10:52:39 AM
Well I decided to make my dress for my dad's wedding.  So I went to JoAnn's and found some pretty fabric and then got started.  I didn't use a pre-made pattern, so the process was a bit...interesting...  hehe  This would include taping tissue paper to my bra to make my own pattern lol  Ok anyways...here it is!

front:

That taping really paid off!  It fits!  Grin

Close up:

Here is the pretty flowers that are all over the dress!  I love hibiscus flowers!

So that is my dress and i'm very proud of it!  What do you think?  Smiley
