Thank you for the kind words, everyone!

Bunny1kenobi, I LOVE that shirt? Is it really hard to do that? Also, do you happen to have a tutorial somewhere? Smiley

I really do like doing the freezer paper stencil shirts.

I don't have a tutorial with nice photos accompanying it, but I can tell you how I do it.  Cheesy  First, I choose my image and/or lettering.  If it's a design of my own making (this t-shirt was not), I will draw it directly on the freezer paper.  If it's one I'm copying from the internet, I cut a piece of freezer paper just a smidge smaller than a piece of copy paper, and tape it, plastic side down, to the copy paper.  One small piece of tape along three sides works for me.  then just print the image as normal, just make sure you're printing on the freezer paper.

Then I carefully cut the image or lettering out.  If there are small, unattached pieces of the design that will need masking, such as the centers of flowers or the insides of letters like O or P for example, cut those out first. It will make the job so much easier!  I just get a little ziplock sandwich bag and put all those little pieces in there.  Then I cut out the rest of the image or letters. Sometimes I will save those cut outs as well, temporarily in case they will help me with placement of those little extra pieces I cut out earlier. Such as under this mermaid's arm:

Then iron them to your shirt, tote, or whatever you are painting.  It works best for me if my iron is set on med-high.  I often use tweezers to help place the centers of letters or other small pieces.  If something irons on crooked, as occasionally happens, just carefully peel it off and try again.

I use Tulip soft fabric paint when painting fabrics, and I often use the el-cheapo sponge paint brushes and dab the paint on.  If you don't load the brush up heavily, you are less likely to have paint bleeding under the stencil.  After it's painted, I sometimes add effects like I did with the "We're All Mad" shirt.  I used a dry sponge to add some blue iridescent sparkly paint to the lettering.  Again, less is more here.  I've also discovered that I don't need the t-shirt paint for effects.  I can use the cheaper craft paint if I'm painting on top of the t-shirt paint. Which is nice coz it gives me a lot more options. Click on this pic for an example:

I peel the letters stencil off while the paint is still wet.  It means I have to be very careful not to get wet paint where I don't want it.  But if I wait til it's dry, I've found that the paint kind of turns into a solid sheet and tries to peel off the shirt along with the paper.  I use a small knife or a pin to pull up the edges of the tiny pieces to remove them.

Ok, hopefully that all made sense and wasn't too... run-on.   Roll Eyes

Battle/Challenge:  May Going Postal
Team: Wordy
Bonus Points:
Project Name: Wooden bead bracelet
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: I found this really cool bracelet that you add beads onto, brand new (!) at a yard sale a while back.  Eventually a swap came up where it would suit the fun sense of style of my partner, so I found some fun beads to add to it and sent it in the Use What You Have Swap.

Battle/Challenge:  May Right In The Feels
Team: Wordy
Bonus Points:
Project Name: Your Happily Ever After
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: One of my favorite speakers of all time is Dieter F. Uchtdorf.  My favorite of his talks is called "Your Happily Ever After".  Maybe it's because I am a fairy tale junkie, but this address really spoke to me.  It's about how every fairy tale heroine has to overcome adversity to get to her happily ever after- it doesn't just fall into her lap.  It's also about how women are beloved daughters of God, and therefore princesses in our own right, and He does have a happily ever after waiting for us.  Makes me tear up every time I hear it. Yep, I'm kind of a boob.

Anyway, I made this book for the Use What You Have Swap. My partner is Christian like me and I wanted to share excerpts of my favorite talk with her. It's handwritten, with some scrapbooking embellishments added for fun.

Battle/Challenge:  May It's Actually Pretty Easy Being Green
Team: Wordy
Bonus Points:
Project Name: Be The Good Necklace
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: You've probably seen the wall art all over Pinterest that looks somewhat like this:

Believe
There Is
Good in the world

I made a domino (yes recycled  Wink) necklace for a swap partner with that sentiment upon it.

If I knew how to straighten it out I would...  Undecided

Battle/Challenge:  May Book Arts
Team: Wordy
Bonus Points: Engineering, per Lovely Miss  Wink
Project Name: We're All Mad Here
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: I painted this t-shirt for my partner in the Use What You Have Swap.  Yes, I had a shirt in my stash.  Cheesy  It's made with a hand cut freezer paper stencil. It is, of course, from Alice In Wonderland.  I painted myself a tee-shirt with this design on it a while back and it is one of my fave shirts!  Grin

I received from Audania1!!  She sent some really cool stuff!  Check it out:

A very cute mug rug, with a great CS Lewis quote on it:

An adorable pendant (the back of the mug rug is the background for this shot):

Sorry it came out so blurry!  398.2 is where one finds fairy tales in the Dewey decimal system. Grin

Extremely fun unicorn pillow:

And the piece de resistance- a fairy house!  Such a cool idea to make it out of a lantern!

It has a little bed inside:

(it was very difficult to hold the camera steady in the midst of very enthusiastic beagle kisses  Grin)

It also came with another bed with a feather blanket, and a fairy dress form - with wings!  Such a cute idea!

Thank you, Audania1!  You stalked me well!  Grin  I hope I did as good a job as you did!  Wink

Some notecards with some of her signature fairy people - the small ones are really small - smaller than ATC's... love them!  I don't think I'll be able to give them away!

A jar of fairy magic, a lovely handmade notebook and an ornament!

And the most amazing little miniature scene!!  I am over the moon for this!  It is one of the coolest things I own!

Isn't it incredible?  Even the back of it is lovely!

This is the bookmark I sent knickertwist, if you were wondering what it looked like.  Grin  I drew this, it's done with colored pencils, chalks and my handy-dandy sharpies.

I made a WHOLE BUNCH of copies a while back (so some of you may have seen this before  Wink) and set aside a few for upcoming swaps.  The rest I took to the public library and stuck in random books as free art.  Cheesy
