1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / July & June ATCs on: July 23, 2015 11:14:37 PM
I have made some more but have swapped them and need to gind the photos on other devices, but these are most of the cards I have made the last two-ish months. There are a few different styles, techniques,  and mediums - it was a little exciting to jump back into making ATCs after five-ish years.

2  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Not A Business, Just a Blog on: January 12, 2015 11:20:18 PM
Over the years, I have blogged sporadically, but have a plan to blog regularly this year. I would eventually like to have giveaways and guest bloggers and all of that fun stuff. But, I need more blogs to follow (so I can link to other people's content, etc). So, basically, I am asking for your Craft blogs and other craft blogs you read, maybe if you are a blogger who might be just starting out, like I am.

I would also like your opinions on my blog. Is it easy to navigate? Is there something missing?

I don't know if this is allowed on this.board, but it seemed like my best bet.

(Sorry for any typos, I am on my phone.)
3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Frida Kahlo Hoopla on: January 11, 2015 07:09:18 PM

I appliqued black felt for Frida's hair, and embroidered the rest. I kind of freehanded the flowers. I used a piece of a vintage pillowcase as the base fabric. This was a gift for a friend who loves Frida and who also re-purposes vintage linens in her own creations. You can see how I finished the back on my blog here: http://shelovestocraft.blogspot.com/2015/01/frida-kahlo-hoopla.html
4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Felt Finger Puppets on: March 22, 2014 01:06:17 AM
WARNING:The last photo has some stickers on my sewing machine that have swear words in them!!!

Awhile back, I made a whole mess of finger puppets for my boyfriend's children. I had so much fun making them, and they used minimal amounts of materials that I already had on hand.Pretty much just felt, embroidery floss, some ribbon, and buttons. The kids loved them, too.

The jelly is my favorite, I used glow-in-the-dark embroidery floss on him, and I crocheted his tentacles using mixed strands of variegated and glow floss with a tiny hook, it's just a chain stitch.

I was going to make a wolf to go with the three little pigs, but I had my heart set on a grey wolf, and discovered that I was out of grey felt. Will have to make one soon!

Group of monsters!

5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Rainbow Star-ghan for My Little Boy on: February 26, 2014 11:08:29 PM
I had made this really awesome star shaped baby blanket for a friend a couple years ago, and when I found out that I was pregnant last year, I waned to make one for my baby. Unfortunately, I wen back to that pattern and it had been removed by the author! I looked around on Ravelry and ended up comparing a couple different free patterns to find a similar one. I found a good one, altered it a tiny bit, and got started. When I started way back in October, I didn't know the sex of the baby yet, so I settled on a basic rainbow+black palette. I ended up losing my hook partway through the project, so it took quite some time to complete. Plus, I am a super lazy crocheter. Sometimes, I'd pull it out to work on it, do two or three stitches, and zone out on Boardwalk Empire or Game of Thrones.

And here's a bonus shot of my kittie, Harvey, "helping" me. He was talking back to me after I caught him trying to steal my scissors.

6  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Simple Collage - Dead Girls Walking in a Garden on: November 16, 2011 03:33:13 AM
I made this piece of wall art on a 5x7 canvas panel using metallic acrylic paints, collage, and acrylic medium. I can't wait to frame it!

This is a detail shot to show the texture around the edges, as well as the different colors used for the background.

Sorry that it's sideways!
