1  Boba Fett Cross Stitched Onesie in LIMBO by SheLovesToCraft on: April 05, 2014 02:19:06 PM
Moved from: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?board=80.0

A friend of mine gave me a TON of plain white onesies at my baby shower, she said that she figured I would want to decorate some. She was right.
I've never cross stitched on knit fabric before, but I have this special fabric that you can baste onto fabrics that are unevenly woven or knit so that you have a stable grid to cross stitch on. I don't know what you call it, since I've had it in my needlework stuff for a good six years. Anyway, I decided that I'd give it a try on one of those onesies last night.

2  Felt Finger Puppets in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by SheLovesToCraft on: March 22, 2014 01:06:17 AM
WARNING:The last photo has some stickers on my sewing machine that have swear words in them!!!

Awhile back, I made a whole mess of finger puppets for my boyfriend's children. I had so much fun making them, and they used minimal amounts of materials that I already had on hand.Pretty much just felt, embroidery floss, some ribbon, and buttons. The kids loved them, too.

The jelly is my favorite, I used glow-in-the-dark embroidery floss on him, and I crocheted his tentacles using mixed strands of variegated and glow floss with a tiny hook, it's just a chain stitch.

I was going to make a wolf to go with the three little pigs, but I had my heart set on a grey wolf, and discovered that I was out of grey felt. Will have to make one soon!

Group of monsters!

3  Re: Crochet Blogs - Add yours here! in CROCHET by SheLovesToCraft on: February 28, 2014 08:23:13 PM
I checked out a lot of the blogs in his thread, so sad that many haven' been updated in as long as six years!
Anyhow, my blog is not JUST crochet, but crochet is one of my "main" crafty mediums, and I have done quite a few posts recently that are strictly crochet (including patterns and tutorials).

4  Rainbow Star-ghan for My Little Boy in Crochet: Completed Projects by SheLovesToCraft on: February 26, 2014 11:08:29 PM
I had made this really awesome star shaped baby blanket for a friend a couple years ago, and when I found out that I was pregnant last year, I waned to make one for my baby. Unfortunately, I wen back to that pattern and it had been removed by the author! I looked around on Ravelry and ended up comparing a couple different free patterns to find a similar one. I found a good one, altered it a tiny bit, and got started. When I started way back in October, I didn't know the sex of the baby yet, so I settled on a basic rainbow+black palette. I ended up losing my hook partway through the project, so it took quite some time to complete. Plus, I am a super lazy crocheter. Sometimes, I'd pull it out to work on it, do two or three stitches, and zone out on Boardwalk Empire or Game of Thrones.

And here's a bonus shot of my kittie, Harvey, "helping" me. He was talking back to me after I caught him trying to steal my scissors.

5  Re: Simple Collage - Dead Girls Walking in a Garden in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by SheLovesToCraft on: November 16, 2011 06:59:21 PM
Thanks!

Here is a photo of the background I made before I put the collage pieces on top. The edges (the texture) is one of my favorite techniques, and I kind of stumbled on it by accident.

6  Simple Collage - Dead Girls Walking in a Garden in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by SheLovesToCraft on: November 16, 2011 03:33:13 AM
I made this piece of wall art on a 5x7 canvas panel using metallic acrylic paints, collage, and acrylic medium. I can't wait to frame it!

This is a detail shot to show the texture around the edges, as well as the different colors used for the background.

Sorry that it's sideways!
