So, I finally finished my Winter is Coming scarf a week ago, with just hours to spare before the premier. Then I blocked it. Then I waited for it to dry. Then I removed the pins. Then...it decided to curl up like a snail. Not sure why this happened, but I'm trying to make the best of it. It actually looks quite chic, sort of.

But anyway, this was the first time I had attempted Fair Isle knitting, ad it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I used Blue Sky Alpaca worsted cotton yarn (2 skeins tulip and 1 skein granite). It turned out super long; I'd say at least six feet if not longer.

I recently started an ASoIaF craft blog and made a series of hankies for some of the major houses. The project involved sewing the hankies, sketching the designs and embroidering them. A small caveat: I'm not that great an artist, so some of the designs might be a little, ahem, interesting. But I get points for effort, right? RIGHT?
