8781  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: UK "Dear Santa" Swap. CLOSED Send by: 17TH DEC on: December 23, 2005 05:55:07 AM
Yay, more received...I have an envelope which I don't think I should open as I'm not sure if there are any contents or if they are wrapped or not. Guess I'm done now then, roll on Christmas day!! I'm cooking for my Boyfriends clan so I should be able to escape onto the pc at some point after cooking!

I think all my gifts have been received by people as well now so yay!

Pub quiz was fab, though we only came 4th which is pretty poor for us! Random gifts included...2 bottles of wine, chocolates, tetley beer logo wallet, 4 pint pitcher of beer voucher from the pub and an XL VW T-shirt!! Ha ha, luckily I have an XL dad who will be the lucky recipient of that Tee Grin

Don't worry I haven't! It's squirrelled away with the others out of sight. Not long to go now!!!

I get to have my fix of prezzy opening tonight at our pub music quiz - Christmas version! Instead of paying out money you have to take in gifts and then you get gifts back, and the money goes to charity. I love it!!

It's fun playing guess the present - even if you can't feel them...and they're not your presents! Grin

Here are my two new arrivals...hee hee that I can feel to guess...

From Cat:

From Sasha:

Thank you both in advance!

I've received from Sasha and Cat, yay!

Will post pics soon, but I just wanted to acknowledge receipt, and to confess that I've eaten one of Sasha's sweets which I feel terrible about Embarrassed I opened the packet and they spilled out and before I'd thought anything the sweetie was unwrapped and in my mouth. Oops. Twas very nice though. Sorry.

I'm unsure whether I can open the box Cat's is in or not but as the outside is Christmassy decorated I think I'll leave it boxed.

Yay for mardy!! I use that all the time but my boyfriend had never heard of it. He's a Macclesfield lad.

I also like 'seen my arse' which means to get annoyed - as in 'I've seen my arse with my brother'. I think that's a Macclesfield phrase as I'd never heard of it, but it sounds so funny when I say it, I'm too polite I think!

I'm from a village near Manchester originally (well about 20 miles south) but it's the closest town. Actually it's about a mile from Manchester Airport. But since I'm skinter than my parents I now live in Runcorn which is somewhere between Manchester & Liverpool. That's probably not making any sense though Roll Eyes

Maybe a slang/term list would be fun to include too then we can all learn some new terms? I'd love to get an American slang list then I could confuse people Wink
