I can't believe how many ideas I've got for this! Now to narrow them down a bit, there's the struggle! Roll Eyes

Yay, it looks great, just like a mushroom! I have one that I bought a couple of years ago for 5, I can't believe the price of them now. I bought it for it's looks (of course) but mainly for the ring, it's a perfect briinng briinng! I've been looking for a cheap red one for a while with no joy.

Ooh, now I'm doubly excited! I always seem to forget when I'm making things that I actually receive things too! Roll Eyes

Marleymiss, you are an organisers dream, so organised! I'll update your feedback as soon as your package is received then you are all set to take part in another swap if you wish. Beware though, it gets addictive!

Okay so I'm definately going to keep up with this one! I just posted here - http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=93739.msg885993#msg885993 - about wanting to create more collage/found object work in this style as it is by far my favourite. I loved being all experimental at uni! Let the challenge begin!

Ha ha, fast work with the piccies there Marleymiss!

Algie...formally known as knee high socks! I wanted his legs to be super long as we never see anything but his face normally and I just pictured him as a sock monkey!

I've been wanting to make a fish food miracle wax tin ever since I saw the episode and screamed out 'it's a fish food tin'. I know the guys say that their props are cheap, but that just cracked me up! I just hope it gets less 'fishy' with the vanilla beads in Undecided

Glad you like everything! It's been a pleasure crafting for you! Smiley

8648  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / The Body - Sketchbook & Final Piece on: May 06, 2006 03:57:20 AM
So, this was my final project at University some years ago. I got the sketchbook down from my bookcase yesterday and was pawing through, getting all inspired again. The body has to be my favourite subject to work with. I love anatomical illustrations and such and even have a collection of x-rays for whenever I'm in the mood to create something like this again.

Sadly the boxes are no more as they have been dismantled, they were too large to keep anywhere, but I have kept the bits and plan to create something with them soon.

Anyway, these are some pics from my sketchbook. I used old medical images, found items, x-rays, stitches (with thanks to my mum!) and drawings.

And a couple of the final medical boxes - designed to be placed against a window to let the light shine through the x-rays.

In this one the brain is in raised sections so it has the appearance of being 3d. The brain image was kindly sent to me by a writer of a medical book.
