This is my backyard. We moved here in January, so I have absolutely NO idea what is under the snow aside from those pine trees....and this bush.

Any good plant detectives out there? I have no idea what it is! It has little thorny looking things, but more like little hairs? Maybe I will have to wait and see?!

Well...I couldn't get my hands on freezer paper so I just used parchment paper and black paint. I think it turned out okay

For those days when you want to tell someone to F off...lol
  They have "Flip" written on the top, and "Off" on the bottom...

They are the flip tops for medications that we use during births at work but I thought they'd make cute earrings too.

I made some jewelery recently for myself and had lots of comments on it at my clinic. Including people wanting to buy it. (I was shocked, but a bit excited)

Woop woop! Here's my new apron for my midwifery placement...we've had a slew of precip. labours/births so this will hopefully keep things at hand.
 Space for pens, my translator, gloves, lube, paper, all that jazz.

My first apron, and I hand stitched it up in just a few minutes, but I really like it.

Total cost $2, plus TONS of extra fabric haha. Maybe I'll make some more?

Thanks for any input/tips/comments in advance. I like it for a first try though.

Okay...late though I am, I decided to have a crack at making an ATC. I don't have PS, so please bear with me! 

These are the first 4 in a set I'd like to do...
Here's the finished set from that old "Monday's Child" poem inspired me to make these...

Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe.
Thursday's child has far to go.
Friday's child is loving and giving,
Saturday's child works hard for a living.
But the child born on the Sabbath day,
Is fair and wise and good and gay.

Hi All....

Well I made this clock, as I'm just generally getting excited about my midwifery apprenticeship. (I hope this counts as a houseware!!)

We need to have clocks in our labour room, and I TOTALLY understand the need for those standard clocks with large numbers so everyone's on the same page and details are recorded correctly...

I just think this would be nicer for a labouring mum to look at.



It's a woman labouring with her doula/midwife/support, and the bottom says "In her own time".

It's just on the table drying, perhaps I will replace the last pic with an "action pic" when it's up.

Hey craftsters!

So My friend's and I had these matching tshirts when we were growing up...We all wore them together by accident that day and were very pleased.

Anyway, we are still really good friends and I made this for the little one with the curly hair (now in her 20's)!

Just thought I'd post and share... it was my first time making something like this.

Sewed layers together and stitched it up to fit around some foam core.
