Sorry for the delay in posting this picture of the lovely bag charms I received from sweeteyevil. They are perfect, just what I was after, thank you  Smiley

Here is a pic of the lovely crochet bookmark I got from Trouble T, and the embroidered heart she sent me for my wall. That was such a nice surprise, I really love it - Thanks T Smiley

I claim craftaddiction for some fabric gift bags.
(3,2,1)

Hello, I am Kitty I am 24 and I live Chester, in England, with my b/f and our very spoilt little Jack Russell Terrier Ralph.

This is my wish list so far (a few new things mixed in!)...

For my mum (loves horses, no allergies):
Linen place mats and/or linen napkins and/or napkin rings like these
In creams, beige, light brown, gold and/or light metallic blue (to match her curtains). She loves horses, so a horse motif would be cool but not essential. Must be machine washable.

A re-useable bin (garbage bag) for the car.

Wine glass charms (6 please). Something like these (horse themed would be good, but not essential)

For my dad (likes practical items, practical colours (yawn), no allergies):
A re-useable bin (garbage bag) to go in his car

A kneeler pad to use outside (so water resistant fabric) like this
I can stuff it if you make it :-)

For my Bro
He is soon to be 18, he drives a yellow and black moped, he likes dance music and wants to be a DJ (for now, something else next week)... He is hard to think of crafty things for, but I think he would like a t-shirt on a "DJ theme" something like this maybe, but I am open to other ideas (obviously not in a toddler size!) He is super skinny but he likes his t-shirts baggy so probably a Small/Medium.

Maybe a pillow in a DJ theme would be good to. Or a pillow with a funny phrase about being lazy. PM me if you have any ideas!

For friends (no allergies):
Scented candles, preferably white/cream or natural tones, not bright colours. Ones in glass jars or church candles or t-lights.

Silk scarves like these, any colours

Bag charms, one with owls, birds, horses, cute buttons or anything else, but grown-up, not too plastic-y. Something ]like this Thanks sweetyetevil!

A notebook or key ring with a VW Camper Van theme

A white mug with RO! in black letters

For my Nan (likes cats and roses, no allergies):
A crochet or embroidered bookmark. She loves flowers, especially roses, but nothing too modern. Thanks TroubleT!

For b/f's step-dad:
Cork cufflinks (or other wine themed cufflinks). Something like these would be good.

For the pooch:
A Batman or other comic book themed collar like this
Size small, I can measure his little neck for you :-)

For me (no allergies):
Tree of life pendant (silver not gold) any colour beads. I like this one on my pinterest

Linen place mats, napkins and/or napkin rings. Our dining room is cream, light brown and a mustard yellow/green colour. I like these and these but a surprise would be nice too.

Two pillow cases, one with "sweet" and one with "dreams" - embroidered, appliqued, stitched on with ribbon, printed - however. White pillow cases with blue writing please.

A heart in a square frame, any size, made anyway you like, I am trying to build up a collection like this

The "ooh la la" pillow case from my pinterest

Fabric flowers, any type or colour, something like these

Other bits and bobs:
Christmas cards - not religious, ones that are specific "Mum" "Brother" "Nana" would be nice.
Gift tags
Gift boxes
Gift wrap

That's it for now!

Just finished the wristlet I claimed for TroubleT - I hope you like it!  Smiley
Can't wait for people to receive my packages so I can claim again, it's so annoying how long it takes to get things from England to America.

9  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / mini top hat facinator and bag on: January 02, 2012 09:20:02 AM
This year I celebrated the arrival of 2012 by going to a burlesque vintage ball! Not having a vast collection of corsets or suspenders, I wasn't sure what to wear. I decided to play it safe with a little black dress but wanted to accessorise it - burlesque style. This is what I came up with...

To make you own you will need a plain black mini top hat (mine was from H&M), some ribbon and feathers, some glittery numbers or other decoration, some netting and a glue gun.

I couldn't find the right size numbers anywhere so I got my Dad to cut them out of Balsa wood with a craft knife then used a nail file to round off the edges (thanks dad!). Then I covered them in mod plodge and sprinkled them with glitter.

I used the glue gun to stick on some feathers and then covered the "stem" of the feathers with a ribbon wrapped around the top hat. I used a turquoise ribbon that had a bow tied in it, then wrapped a thinner gold ribbon around the turquoise one so it would match my sparkly gold numbers.

Then I glued some netting to the inside of the top hat rim, so that it would cover one side of my face, and stuck my numbers onto the ribbon for the finishing touch:

Now, what to do with the left over ribbon and feathers... well I had a plain black bag so I decided to style that up bit too.

Hope you like them!
