3  Dior Oui ring in Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions by guitar*girl on: October 09, 2007 09:58:44 AM
I am head-over-heels in like with this ring:Thing is, it's Dior and almost $700. I really want to make a ring like it with wire and I tried to make it using thick-ish wire (not sure what gauge, maybe 18-ish?) and pliers and the wire just broke.  Does anyone know a way to do it so the wire won't snap? Or anyone have another idea how to make it? Thanks so much =]

4  PHONE SOCKS!!! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by guitar*girl on: September 21, 2007 02:25:34 PM
okay, so last night I had a needle and a thread and fabric and i'm like, okay, i'm going to make a little pouch. and it ended up being the perfect size for a phone! so i was like OMGG PHONE SOCKS! And then I made five more. They're soooo much fun to make and sooo easy, and you can just make them from scraps of fabric (i have one made from old PJs) and they are my new obsession. Heh.

To the pictures!!! (Sorry they're so blurry. i had caffeine, and I was shaking really badly.)

more pics later maybe?

5  Re: Show us your Photoshop and PSP art!!! in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by guitar*girl on: September 11, 2006 10:21:52 AM
wow those are all really cool!  scissorchic i really like that first one Smiley

i do a lot of art in photoshop....but none of it is photomanipulations LOL.  i do things called pixel dolls Smiley
other people make the bodies (called 'bases') and then you can go and draw the clothes and the hair and accessories and whatnot.  i usually do a little editing to the faces and the shading to make them look more uniform with my style of drawing.  the only stipluation to using the bases is that you are supposed to link back to the creator's website Smiley
here are a few examples:

there are more on my DA site if anyone is interested:  http://breathe-only-me.deviantart.com/

haha its a weird little hobby i picked up, but can't seem to put down Smiley  its quite addicting and LOADS of fun Smiley  there are all kinds of forums with challenges and whatnot and tons of nice people Smiley

Oh wow, I used to doll also! I think I was actually pretty good but I stopped after a few months.
