The Sampler & Greenward are co-hosting a party celebrating the release of CRAFT issue #7.  There will be prizes, free craft projects, free Sampler gift bags, free cupcakes and lemonade.  FREEEEEE Come on by from 3-6...it will be fun!!!

I run the website http://www.homeofthesampler.com which is a marketing tool for indie businesses.  We're doing local editions of the Sampler and since I'm local to here, that's our next edition!

If you are interested in participating, City Sampler: Boston will feature items exclusively from crafters, DIYers and awesome businesses from Boston and the surrounding area.  You definitely don't need to be in Boston, just that you are local and interested in the Boston crafting scene.

City Samplers are a way for people who aren't from the area to get a taste of what Boston is all about, and for locals to support their hometown crafters.  You can find more info here: http://homeofthesampler.com/city/boston.html

The product samples are due on February 4th, the Sampler will be released on February 16th and there will be a party at Spark Crafts on the 16th from 2-6 to celebrate (you're all invited!).

Hi!  I checked with Leah first, and she gave me the "ok" to post this here...

The Sampler is a super fun marketing & promotional tool for indie businesses. Each month, independent crafters, artists, shops, zines and record labels who run web-based businesses send samples and promotional materials to a contribution pool. All the samples are photographed, posted to the site and then are portioned out, put in little packages and sent off to Sampler Subscribers, other Sampler Contributors and members of the Media all over the world!

We've been getting some really great press over at The Sampler.  Below are a few of the most recent.  If you are interested in contributing, or just have any questions, let me know!!!  The next due date is March 15th, so you've still got time!

If you're looking for something fun to do on Saturday, head over to Somerville for ArtBeat!  Among MANY things happening, there will be a craft fair on Elm & Holland Sts from 11am-6pm.  I'm sharing a few booths with a bunch of crafters:

i feel nearly embarrassed to even have to do this...but i am looking for an unpaid assistant

i am looking for someone who can assist, maybe once a week (or more often if you want!), with the tedious tasks of wonderland Q. http://www.wonderlandq.com

this would include (but is not limited to):
taking pictures & uploading new info to the site (no HTML required!!!)
putting together shipments & going to the post office (3 blocks away!)
packaging hair things, stationery, patches, etc.
tagging bags & pouches
cutting fabric & paper
ironing

and, if you are interested:
silkscreening
sewing
joining me at craft fairs (for an hourly wage)

unfortunately, i can't pay you. 
i can give you sewing lessons & a free (old but functioning) sewing machine, access to all my crafting equipment (sewing machines, sergers, gocco, silkscreens, etc) & some supplies, teach you crochet if you are left handed, buy you dinner or lunch while you are here, make you things, or let me know if you have another idea!
if you are in school and need an internship, wonderland Q is an actual legit business, so we can probably work it out...

i am in Weymouth, MA.  my house is accessible by a bus from the red line (i'll reimburse you if you take the T here).  i work all day saturday-monday, and every night starting at 5.  i am also working on staying home more week days, if you prefer that.
