i made these 2 blankets, not really who for lol but i thought it was cute, i love the little bubbles  its a very warm blanket!!! i was using it for my legs lol when i was making the 2nd one lol

I got bored of making blankets (twin size- gets boring after you do like a lot lol).. and my mom wanted a new purse and she didnt really have the time to make once (she only got the chain done) so i thought i would surprise her and make her one  She loved it! So did I, I kinda was hoping she wouldnt like it so i could keep it for myself.

The only bad thing is that I hate sewing pieces together so I did it in rounds, so there's a flat line of where i joined the rows, but i guess I didnt really care if i saw it lol besides alls you have to do is put that side against you and nobody would notice!!

so here it is...

I just learned to knit like a couple weeks ago or so. But I didn't know what my first project should be, and since my mom was trying to knit dishcloths, but didnt have the time to make so..I decided to make some for her. So far I only made 2, I have to finish another project before I can do more.

I found this log cabin dishcloth that I thought was really cool.   

So I made 1 for the camper...

And one for the kitchen...

My mom made my siblings & I twin size blankets when we were younger. I loved that thing. I used it for about 10 years or so, but than I decided to switch room colors...so my blanket didn't match anymore. So she got the yarn to make me another one. Well she made the chain to big and so after she crocheted about 2 rows she knew for sure she made it too big, so she got about half way and than stopped. She doesn't have the time to crochet. So I thought I would crochet again..(i stopped for awhile) so I practiced making a baby blanket and than I finished the 2nd half...

This is my blanket, it ended up being a king size blanket, it's really nice in the winter, cuz if I'm really cold I fold it in half and it's makes it extra warm.

Ever since I got that one done, my sister wanted me to make blankets for her boyfriends family, so I made 3 more twin size blankets, 2 lapghans, and one queen size blanket.

The Queen & Kings size blankets took FOREVER!!! With the king size, I believe 2 rows took me about 45-50 min. I know the Queen size blanket I could get 3 rows in an hour. It's a lot of work, but it's a great blanket to have for a long, LONG time.

I'm so happy, I can finally KNIT!!! WOO HOO!!! Well, a little patch anyways (see below)  I've been trying to learn for the past couple of weeks using old little books, and stuff I printed from online. I don't know anybody who knits still, and the 2 I did knitted left handed (so it would get confusing, I'm righty )

But I decided to splurge on the "Knitting Made Easy CD"    (http://www.coatsandclark.com/find_a_product/publications/cd_roms.htm - it shows the crochet & knit CD). I popped that CD into my computer watch it completely through and than watched it a 2nd time and actually did it along with the videos, and by the end of the day I could knit!!!

After that I made my first little patch, but the next day or something I made this one:

The Pink is the knit stitch (garter stitch, right??) than in the yellow I switched to the purl stitch (not sure what it's called when it's just the purl stitch) and to end it off I switched to the stockinette stitch.

That patch was a lot better than my first one, my ends are to big...so it gets kinda loose on the ends but this patch was a lot better!

But if you definately want to learn knitting, I would recommend that CD. I'm more of a watching person in order to learn something. I can't read how to do stuff and than do it, I get to confused  It also has 20 patterns on the CD. I'm not sure if the crochet one is good, but I taught myself crochet and the stuff I didn't get I asked a friend to help exlpain it.

Sorry I sound over excited, BUT I AM!!! But now, I just gotta find an easy first project, any ideas???

I recently saw Car Booties online, they are just the cutest little things!!!

I e-mailed the girl that had that site and she said she got it from an old magazine a few years back. But she didn't have the pattern written down, she just did it from memory. So I was wondering if anyone had that pattern??? I guess the pattern uses crochet & knitting...

I'll try and find the site so I can show a picture of it.

The post of the ugg booties is in the knitting section ( http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=14033.0 ), but I've tried converting it into crochet (because I can't knit very well) and I was wondering if anyone else has to tried to convert it??

I made this tote bag (pic below), for all of my little crochet projects. It's nice, I added 2 large pockets, and a somewhat smaller one. And than a narrow long one from my knitting needles. A girl saw my purse & my mom's purse (i made both) and thought they were cute, and wondered if I could make her granddaughter a little beach tote bag. So this is what I came up with.
